Price was minimal I paint cars just really time consuming these tops are not ready to paint at all but with alot of sanding and priming I achieved a suitable surface to paint

the top should be fine so long as everything under the paint holds up which is the big question the deflector will take some abuse being up time will tell no one knows. my rear flares are getting some chips but paint is holding on.

I would be fearful that when the mic top does start to delaminate Ford won’t honor your warranty.

Try Evercoat Rage filler.
I was a Bondo Gold user for years until I got a can of that stuff to try.
Never looked back.

It's harder to sand, but the fiberglass-reinforced stuff sticks to stuff quite well as well.
You just kind of have to experiment.
The rougher you can etch the surface, the better off you are. I have done as aggressive as 40 grit as the final sand before filler before.

EDIT: Then high build primer over your bodywork. Block smooth.
Your guys should be in the know pretty well, above is just a suggestion.

on the flares I used a red pad and 600 grit and sanded the crap out of them cleaned with wax and grease remover used a ppg scuffing sponge then used a ppg adhesive wipe then applied bulldog adhesion promoter then I sealed them with about 4 coats of heavy sealer I think the sealer may have better adhesion than the primer-surfacer not really sure but that was my thinking I let those set over the weekend then sanded them down with 320 then resealed them and painted them

windows were pretty tight around the edges was just careful with a window tool and used a window knife on the inside once we got the sides and bottom loose thought I cracked one at one point don't know if they are available yet I did scratch the top getting them out but I am not a experienced window guy

Yeah the Bronco just looks much better with a matching color top. I have thought that since it was revealed and some of the early renders of the matching top.

With the amount of work you spent, can you suggest what would be a fair price if I find a local guy to do it ?
Concerned about the windows troubles you had, would it be possible to leave them in and just mask off ?
