Checked my oil today and happened to see my coolant level low, anyone else experience this? I have smelled more radiator smells from this one than expected but have never overheated or anything. 6700 miles. I’ll have to check the system to see which fluid it takes and top it off but I haven’t seen this in a newer vehicle before.

Oddly enough, both the 2.3L Broncos I’ve been through have experienced “low coolant” at the first OCI. I wonder if they haven’t been fully bled/there’s an air pocket that gets worked out in time.

In addition, both of them have stayed at level after the replenishment.

I think an air bubble is the likely culprit. Going to top it off and keep an eye on it. Thanks for the note.

Experienced the same with you and @Boreal .

I've been tracking how much coolant I've had to top off (motorcraft yellow). I've had to top it off a few times over the past year - just under 8oz. total, but my level has now been consistent for the past 6,000 miles. About 14k miles on my bronco so far.

I've kept a sharp eye on my water pump, turbo coolant line & bash plate to see if there are any leaks, but none to be seen.

6200 miles on my 2.7. It's been topped off twice. Was at the same level as op's both times.

I’m trying to find the Motocraft coolant and it’s several days for delivery. Maybe I should just head to the dealer to have them add it.

I noticed the same thing 2 days ago and put coolant on my shopping list. Odd that it’s low in a new truck - hopefully just an air pocket.

From what I can remember lots of folks have received them brand new with levels barely over the minimum line.

Experienced a similar thing, mine was actually less than half of what you had in that picture. Bought my Bronco used from the dealership with 7,000 miles. Something in the back of my head told me to check the fluid levels a couple days after I bought it, was glad that I did.

On a positive note, I filled the coolant up and have been checking ever since. The level has remained at the maximum line, must have not been bled properly.

Same here. I noticed it recently at about 7k miles in looking precisely that low. It definitely was a little concerning being that my first oil change was at about the 3500 mile mark. Just took it in yesterday to Napa Ford to get everything changed, inspected and topped off.

decided to check and it was at the minimum line and I had to top it off. I do remember noticing the same issue when I had MY21 that I used to own.

Curious, any of you that show lower levels install the Ford Performance Tune installed?

Any of those reporting low coolant levels have build dates in April to May 2023 ? There's that recent 2.3l TSB regarding cracked blocks leaking coolant into the oil.
