Seriously. How can ALL the safety tech not be standard these days? I think it's the worst package, costs so much to get a couple things that should be built in.
assuming recoup cost for having these. I would like to think they will be standard in years to come soon, but i guess when i step back and think about it if these items weren't already on other models it makes sense for premium, or the blood thirsty car manufactures know that the crowd will pay a premium for them.... If not for the garage door transmitter ??

Imagine your life not being saved because you didn’t get the evasive steering.
The way others drive these days, the only evasive that would work is staying home....isn't lane keeper part of the 360 package apart from LUX?

scary but great point...there is definitely a rabbit hole there, but thinking about this being my daughters vehicle in a few years has sold me on it. I totally gapped Evasive Steering.

thats a good point and would wonder about the 360 also......

BTW had an 07, 2010 and a 2014 Tundra before getting an F-150. I loved them but not enough progression.

I feel like a Ford employee just emptied their pockets on the table and decided to add the contents to Lux...kind of a random offering. It is worth it to me for B&O alone but the other stuff is "nice" too.

Correct. "Lane-Keeping System" is part of the Co-Pilot 360 that is included in the mid package.

The high package adds the 360 camera and the "Forward Sensing System"

Lux package adds adaptive cruise and evasive steering assist.

I suspect the hardware needed for evasive steering is present in the mid or high package and is software activated for the lux package.
If that's the case, maybe it can be activated later using a 3rd party tool such as FORScan or similar.

Yeah, they kind of threw some things in that they knew people would go after no tmatter what...and drag the rest of the package with it. I guess a good move on their part, but it sucks they don't offer more ala carte options.

I’m in it for the sound system.
The other stuff is nice to have but being that they only have whatever their standard system is and then the B&O, I’m going with the better one,.

because unless the car is built for safety in mind (not the bronco) manufacturing scale helps

If this stuff came standard the base model would be like 35k+
Toyota includes ACC on a base-ass Corolla, so it can't be that expensive.

Ford designed the trims/packages to push as many folks into the most expensive configurations possible for the first couple years while every Bronco is sold before it's even built. When supply catches up to demand, you'll see things like ACC, the big screen, etc. offered on lower trims (Jeep did exactly this with the JL).

Worth it for me for the ACC, heated steering wheel, and upgraded stereo system
Same
I have a heated steering wheel today. Upgrading to a vehicle that costs 2x as much as my current vehicle without the heated steering wheel would feel like somethings wrong or missing
