I was worried based on several comments the inside would be too tight. NOPE. It is plenty comfy. I'm sold!

Great news! One question whose answer is already implied: You think us 6-4 types will have any issues with the clutch in terms of leg comfort? Sounds like not considering you didn't have the seat all the way back but just confirming as I really want a manual transmission.

And since this thread is about the cargo area, may be good to repeat that the cargo area is NOT secure. You can lift the floor and get access without having to open the tailgate....at least confirmed on the 4 door.

Good point. There is a lockable option for that little storage area.

Yeah I saw that, but it still leaves your jack, fuel filler, etc laying out in the open.

Sort of sucks... Seems like a huge oversight just like the winch camera.

I wonder if cutting off the loop will solve it more or less. I don't know how easy it would be to get a grip on the little lip without having the tailgate open...but that hoop made it real easy.

Thank you OP so much for the write up! I am with you, I have not put in a reservation yet as I would like a green color, but mainly it is I can't fathom plopping down $58K for a vehicle I haven't even laid eyes on yet! Likely will be a MY22 or MY23 at the latest at this point but have been drooling over the vehicle for years since Ford made the announcement.

Coming from an Expedition, I personally am okay with a mid-size SUV as my vehicle and am glad to hear the sitting position you experienced was comfortable. I did have to sell my camper though, and go back to a tent (non rooftop - who wants to climb a ladder and have it take up precious cargo area?)...

If you had a cargo mat over the floor it probably would make a little more challenging. The current lid might be drilled and a box lock installed. You would have to have a corresponding lip of some type on the inside.
