And zero communication for months at a time??? Sorry Bout the excessive punctuation
What would you want an email repeating the same thing weekly?

"Dear Valued Bronco Reservationist,

We are sorry to inform you that due to these bullshit cv-19 shutdowns that have affected supply chains around the world. We still have yet to produce you a Bronco! Please be patient as one will be built in due time for you Mr./Mrs./Ms. Bronco lover!

Love,
Ford Motor Company"

Sure as hell would hope they know why my Bronco is sitting for over 2 months. Should be a super easy answer to find. And you sound super spoiled since you already have yours. Easy to talk sh.. that way.

It's dealer BS. August letter from Ford...note the word all. Of course Ford also said they'd be replacing all the roofs on built Broncos before building more, which wasn't exactly true.

You are taking the word "all" and misinterpreting what they are saying here. Ford quite making the hardtop bronco until the hardtop issue was "fixed." They still continued to make the soft-top bronco as it was unaffected.

Spoiled? LOL, I've waited like everyone else! What I didn't do is pick commodity constrained items that would delay my build/delivery. I did my research, knew what to order, knew what I could add at a later date and clicked submit in Ford's WBDO.

Working with a good knowledgeable dealership that has highly trained Bronco Specialist was key.

"...because we need to replace all existing roofs before we can make any new hard top Broncos." Nothing there to misinterpret. All MIC 1.0 to be replaced.

If you're referring to my comment about not true that they were going to do replacements before building more, explain all the MIC 2.0 topped new builds (including mine) while there are still Broncos in Dirt Mountain? That was the original plan they laid out, fix dirt mountain and delivered units, then resume building.

You ever think to wonder maybe something else is affecting those sitting (if there is anymore) at dirt mountain? Maybe a commodity that's not currently available but was at the time it was parked? Something other than the top? Possible damage to one? ETC?

Just saying... there's other things possible. Ford is not going to stop making Broncos for a few that has other issues on dirt mountain. Neither would you if you owned Ford! They resumed production on hardtops once the fix was available, simple as that.

What you described is the standard warranty work procedure it sounds like...Would not surprise me if it is accurate.

Also, MIC 2.0 is just as shit. Leaks, seams tearing apart, severe noise.. my thread has it all. 70 pages or so of crap at this point.

The truth is there is no MIC 2.0. There are new front panels and old MIC shells as far as I can tell. Don't think they actually changed the rearmost portion for anyone. The flaws go too deep to be fixed with a simple mould.
That's my thought as well. I was 6/29 blend date and 10/30 pickup date. Front panels look darker and thicker than the rear and the rear has some snakeskin in several spots

Oh yeah. I gave Ford the benefit of doubt right up until we started seeing MIC 1.0 stickers right next to MIC 2.0 stickers on the same clamshell portion of the top. Its clear they thought they had a solution with whatever this "primer" is they've applied, but its clear its not an actual new top.

Thats the "MIC 2.0" sticker, yes. There is a smaller sticker found on the MIC 1.0 tops. Some people, and this is the give away that MIC 2.0 was fake, have BOTH MIC 1.0 and MIC 2.0 stickers.

I have one of the very first "MIC 2.0" equipped Broncos to be delivered and my primer was applied end of Sept IIRC.

I'm not actually convinced that word "primer" is being used the way we think it is. If you look at the Manufacturer Communication Number: 21B49 from Sept 30 on the NHTSA site (https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2021/FORD/BRONCO%25202DR/SUV/4WD#manufacturerCommunications) you will see the installation procedures talk about the primer for the glass. So not sure if we can make any assumptions about "primer" stickers being indicators of anything besides glass replacement? Note on pg 12 the decision point: "Is the primer expired (built date is 90 days old or more) or the label is missing? " which to me just adds more potential confusion over what those stickers mean.

You missed the point. Entirely.

Letter from Ford says all hard tops built before the shut down will be replaced.

That's the part that matters to the OP.

It also says replacements will happen before more Broncos are built. That didn't happen, so it was not true. Doesn't matter why, but the fact that it's not what they did weakens the "Ford said all" argument. That's it, end of story.

Dude I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this. My Bronco was a dirt mountain resident for the MIC replacement and I allegedly have the 2.0 top. It has the same issues that Ford said were going to be fixed with MIC 1.0 via "retooling". Seems to me (just My opinion with no data to back it up) that Ford just said those words and waited a few months before sending out the dirt mountain Broncos with "New" hardtops, which were really made using the same process as the 1.0 tops, which is leading to the same problems again...just a hunch
