You can see some dirt on my cross member support bracket near my fuel tank. That was from one trail in NE Georgia that was a bit rutted. Kinda wish I would have held out for the LoD transmission skid instead of the Asfir skid just to cover those up and smooth it out. Hope I don’t get caught up on them.

I just bought the OEM transfer case skid. I think I’ll add the gas tank skid in the near future as well

Thanks all for your help

fuel tank. it's plastic, exposed, and huge.

The OEM transfer case skid is about $50 shipped from Ruxer. Seems like a no brainer.

Some people on the forum are fabricating their own transmission skid from 1/4" aluminum, but the metal isn't that cheap, so I just bought mine from Asfir when I ordered the fuel tank skid.
You mentioned Ruxer has the T case skid plate for $50? Do you have the link by chance? I couldn’t find it. Thanks.

You’ll need to create an account, then message @flip and he’ll add you to the b6g discount. Then when you shop AND you are logged in, you’ll see cheaper prices. One thing to note: i need to be logged in when i add to cart as the price does not drop in cart after logging in. For instance, the transfer case skid is $36 plus ship. Note, you will need some hardware too.

My skid plates came plastic I ordered a MOD bumper took it back to the dealership and they did a little mis-build form and now they are ordering a new set this time steel. Make sure to check the bash plates this happened on several models with the MOD bumper.

Rear shock skids. I nailed both sides pretty good that it almost punctured the shock itself.

The transmission cross member braces are pretty vulnerable, have bent edges that seem to catch everything. Mine quickly got hit. So I covered them up with the JCR trans skid, which also necessitated the front/engine skid to go with it.
