Pretty good chance that you have multiple issues. Biggest issues is how deep of mud you decided to drop your electronic toy in.
This is good point. I am fortunate that I wheel here in the desert Southwest. You guys who spend significant time in the mud and the snow seem to have these sorts of issues much more often.

I agree, even in shallow mud I've had alternator failures. Granted I was being dumb going into an obstacle like this and issues are expected.

Update for anyone that's interested. Worked on it after teaching class for the last two weeks. Downloaded tons from the WSM pulled the cam solenoids and cleaned them out, (obvious contamination). Cleaned main harness connections and pulled + cleaned grounds. New spark plugs 1 new oil control solenoid and 1 new alternator. Back on the road code free.

Edit* also did two oil changes up to temp + driving in circles for 30 minutes.

These codes popped up again today. Idle sounds clean. Not noticing a loss of power or unusual noise under acceleration.

Plan is to check the Crankshaft position sensor, possible I missed cleaning it on the first sweep. That a sound 1st step for this code?

Ford Bronco Mudding + improper engin oilnusage. Error Codes 14aug
