2021 Bronco First Edition with 42k miles.

I have a new issue with my Bronco. While it drives well most of the time, I now regularly encounter a problem where multiple error messages pop up on the screen (sequentially) while I am driving, causing the vehicle to effectively, stop responding. The engine remains on, and I don't lose power to the brakes or steering, but the car won't react when I press the gas pedal. It seems like it's some critical failure safety measure, though feels critically unsafe when it occurs. When surrounded by other vehicles, at speed, I am forced to coast to a stop (with a prayer). Usually, when I put it in park, turn off the vehicle, and get out, it will reset all of the errors and work again. This situation is quite dangerous, especially when I'm around other cars. I contacted Ford, but they fit me in for two weeks. Thankfully, I have the ESP. Do you have any ideas or advice? The battery terminals are secure.

Here are the error codes that appear and continue to cycle, in order:
-4x4 Off
-Service Vehicle Soon
-Service advance Trac
-Check 4x4
-Pre-collision assist not available
-Service advance track

There's a possibility that your battery needs charging. Try putting it on a charger for a few hours and see what happens.

A low battery can cause those to happen.

Thank you and I will try that. I was just driving and the instrument panel read 14.3 volts, would it still read that high if there was a battery issue? Now that you brought it up, I'm going to go by AutoZone and have them test it.

The readout is the alternator charging voltage, not the battery itself.

Odd for those errors to cause a loss of power. Those usually affect 4x4, ABS, TCS etc. but not the ability to accelerate. Id be plugging in to the OBD and seeing what's stored in the computer.

I went to AutoZone and the battery passed all tests.

Auto Zone will usually scan for codes at no charge. You should ask them to do that and see what comes up. Next step is a trip to the dealership where they will probably keep it for 3 days and then say "unable to duplicate."

By the way, I would still try to charge the battery if it were me. If you don't have a charger (everyone who owns a vehicle should, though) you can take it for a road trip. At least a couple of hours at highway speeds should get you fully charged. Trips around town and cpmmuting to work are not enough to keep it fully charged.

Of course there could also be a loose ground, damaged wiring, a bad wheel speed sensor, or some other issue at play here.

It's going into limp mode, you are gonna have to get the DTC codes. You mention you have ESP, any reason you didn't just take it into the dealer?

Did you get any alerts on Ford Pass app?

Also second charging the battery - this forum is full of posts where people swear their battery is great, super volty, tested, brand new, etc... and then they just go and put it on a charger overnight and the problems all magically disappear. Just pull it out of the Bronco, throw it on a trickle charger overnight, and put it back it. It may not fix whatever the problem is, but it also doesn't cost anything and is easy to do, and it's amazing how many times it ~does~ fix the problem.

Thanks. About to test it. Just now while driving everything shut down again as I was slowing down for a red light. Now that I think about it, I feel like I was applying my brakes every time or slowing down. Now for the first time after I turned my car back on the check engine light was on. Error code on my app says:
"The powertrain control module has detected an electrical concern with the supply voltage for some of the powertrain sensors."

Hmmmm

That's a low voltage code. Again pointing too battery or wiring. Worst case scenario would be a faulty PCM, but that's less likely than the battery or a wiring issue.

Yup try battery. My Bronco is a ‘24 and has like 2k miles and I recently installed a bunch of stuff and I had left the hood up in the garage for like 4 days which apparently drains the battery. When I got done and started it back up I got a park system fault and it went away after I started driving, so even on a new one a low battery will make it flip out. Hopefully it’s something simple

Have you made any wiring changes? Especially any that affect grounds? That's the first place I'd look.

no the only thing I have done is added 3 amber grill lights (raptor lights) which are powered into the engine fuse box. I did notice that that had been unplugged by ford at a previous service, so I put it into the Aux 6 port. I'm not sure if that could have caused it but I doubt it. I'm going to go buy a battery charger
