Looks great and thank you for sharing. I go there Oct 15-18 from Washington with one of my friends. I hope they have a WT model their which is what I am purchasing. Did Ford or anyone communicate with you prior to the trip with details of what to expect?
There was a few Wildtraks I saw there. Looks to me like they have a fleet of 12+ Broncos and rotate them in and out of service.

You don’t get to pick aside from the ones they have pre-laid out. In my case they had 4 ready to go so we got to pick from them.

Yup! They’ll send you a couple emails leading up to your trip so that you know what to expect

Last question, did they serve dinner or shuffle you out before that? Only being in Vegas a few nights I want to make sure I can hit all the restaurants I want too

I think you are the first to share food pictures. It is great to get everyone’s perspective on the experience. We are going next weekend to Austin. Can’t wait.

Yup!

Snacks when you arrive that you can take with you throughout the day. Water available all over the place.

Lunch around 1pm, dinner at 5pm

I love Broncos but food is right up there too!😂 and the food did not disappoint

I was there last Sunday, great time, lots of fun. You have as much time for dinner there as you like. Most of the people on our day left though, and the few that did stay for dinner were sticking to themselves pretty much. We had reservations for a Distillery tour that night so did have some time constraints to get back to hotel (Lost Spirits Distillery tour, awesome time there too, quite the day...).

If you're going to be doing casino and "Las Vegas" stuff, don't stay at Red Rocks, you're a ways from the strip. You'll need a rental car out to the location in any case. Just plan for a longer drive on the morning of the Off-Rodeo (~1hr from the strip)

We have reservations at the Cosmopolitan on the strip. Figured we would just Uber everywhere but will now look into a rental instead. Thanks.

Maybe just a 1 day rental for the off roadeo.

Everything else on the strip is within walking distance or Uber

I have my Nevada Off-Rodeo scheduled for this Thursday (Sept 2). I'm going solo, using the 3-days off (Vegas from Sept 1-3) for a reprieve from whats been a pretty miserable last 2 years (between Covid shutdowns, multiple funerals, work-from-home, to being stuck in litigation with a corrupt HOA board for 18 months).

Like you, other than very very light off-roading, I'm looking forward to learning technique (as well as technology) while I'm out there.

Crossing my fingers that I'll be able to learn on a 2-door Badlands Sasquatch. Do they give you an option?

They’ll set out one Bronco for every party there and then you guys get to choose from what’s available

I’m glad you’re gonna get a break from the last couple years man

Went to the Nevada Off-Roadeo on Thursday and it was incredible! Took my mom so we could spend some time together and learn. Neither one of us have ever driven off road more than a gravel fire road. I know we have plenty of these write-up but here’s one more and some pics to kill some time haha.

First off getting to experience the Bronco’s first hand under top notch instructions is so valuable and makes the wait easier. Even though my spec is dang near $60k after driving the vehicle for hours I believe the price will be worth it.

The instructors were great and really were the cherry on top to the whole experience. The food was phenomenal too!

For the day I was there there were 4 parties of drivers. We got 3 SAS Badlands and 1 SAS OBX. My mom and I were in a SAS Badlands mid-package.

The terrain at Nevada is mostly slow speed rock crawling. Which was great for me because as a newbie that genre is the most intimidating. But the Broncos are well equipped and we all got through everything pretty easily. I now know how/when to use the SBD, front & rear lockers, trail control, one pedal driving, and manual modes.

It was one thing reading about these features, and another putting them into practice. It all makes WAY more sense to me now. I was so worried about lifting tires from reading the SLA vs IFS arguments from years back haha. But even when the tires lift the Bronco can keep going thanks to the lockers. Best part is you can set them independently whenever needed.

The instructors taught technique over technology which was extremely helpful. So I got to practice modulating the gas/brakes myself AND using the Bronco’s assist features. I feel comfortable using both ways now.

All in all it was a GREAT time and I’d like to do it again at a diff site to try more types of terrain. Well worth every penny!

Now to the best part, the pics haha

Question. I know its hot BUT...if we get a soft top vehicle at the Off-Roadeo, can we drive it with the top down? I'm going next weekend and considering all my options toward making a choice of which one to drive for the day...

Well, the day we went, Sept 19, it was windy and chilly. Yes, you can put the top down.

Awesome to hear. All the photos I am seeing from peoples reports, the tops are up! Thought maybe there was a rule about having them down. Good to know...thanks.
