New Land Rover "Baby" Defender 80 arriving in 2022 with $ 30k price tag

First time I've seen this, Land Rover supposedly coming out with a 2023 Defender 80 arriving in late 2022. To be priced beginning around $ 30,000 so direct competition to the Bronco & Wrangler per the video. I'm sticking with a Bronco whenever it arrives, but if true this could definitely increase the competition in this market segment. Might even spur Ford to start producing Broncos in greater numbers before more competition shows up.

I think if Ford could build more Broncos at the moment, they would.

Before the pandemic, Jeep was selling 200K Wranglers per year. There’s a lot of market share to grab there.

The difference to me is that I'll keep my Bronco after the warranty runs out. The Land Rover would be gone just before that.

sounds like competition for the Bronco Sport. The Defender 60 is ugly as hell, and looks about as capable as a Kia Soul.
