I could do Mike’s job!

How?

Stay Tuned!
Beat me to it! The dude needs something new. This Stay Tuned response is so stale at this point. Maybe we can create a poll for Mr. Levine on new useless marketing buzz words to deflect actually providing answers.

I can't see much changing for MY22. Too many people waiting on MY21 to throw anything worthwhile into 22 because we'd all just walk from our orders or decline delivery.

If it's cool and worth having and MY22, its gonna be expensive.

My assumption is that they have enough pent-up demand and not enough will to make any substantial changes for MY22. Maybe not even MY23, unless it's something already well into development that they misread the market on or just didn't have the time to implement into the first run. Mansquatch is a good example. Personally I hope that an individualized tow rating for each trim and wheelbase also falls into this category.

I could see them having a hybrid or PHEV sitting on the shelf and waiting until MY23 or MY24 to release it when the hype and demand are dropping and need a boost. At that point some of these trucks will be three years old and even original buyers might buy new all over again.

I know there's alot of hate for hybrids/plugin hybrids on here but I would actually be interested in switching to a plug-in hybrid if it were offered for 2022. if I can get better gas mileage in the Bronco since it will be my daily driver I'd be pleased.
The Wrangler 4xe actually seems decent off road on all electric from what I have seen, I was going to get the 4xe but my husband really wanted the Bronco.
Probably a big ask with all the other issues they have been having 😑
4XE here, plugin hybrid is a neat party trick, but it actually has the worst gas mileage of any jeep engine option (unless you are driving exactly 22mi or less round trip and fully charge it every time). The extra HP and torque it throws in more than make up for that though.

Not to get off topic, but I have a 1971 Diamond Blue F100 shortbox 4x4. Its an extremely light blue, almost hard to even tell it's blue unless its parked next to a white vehicle.

At some point, the tech advantages of four independent electric motors will overcome people's concerns over electric vs. internal combustion. A hybrid model would give folks the range needed to take these electric hosses into the wild. If I were Ford, I would let Rangers and F150s plough that road first. Many companies will be switching to electric service vehicles to burnish their green images. An electric or hybrid Bronco should be a 2026/7 MY target after the brand has been re-established.

Just my opinion. It's free :)

That won’t be available until the 4th generation MIC roof comes out, at the earliest 2024!
Aftermarket!

I saw this tweet and am curious, what do you believe will come in 2022/23 that we don’t already know about? Personally, I would love some type of dark blue color back, A/C seats, a rear camera mirror so the soft top/tire doesn’t get in the way.

What do you think?

As long as they get rid of the carpet on trims with MGV seats

Yup series hybrid FTW! That'll be the first non-manual for me.

See below:

Does anyone think besides FE being replaced with Second Edition (kidding), any of the other models possibly be replaced? That'd be interesting to say the least.
My only hope besides green being available is that they offer some more ala cart options like upgraded stereo or MGV.
For '22, I'd doubt it as far as models being replaced goes - I think we'll see minor changes perhaps to option bundles (maybe some things like the garage door opener gets put into lower option packages, for example) and maybe an additional feature here or there, but nothing huge. I'd expect similar for '23, with maybe some more options appearing.

I wonder what new models they could have? Warthog? I dont think anything else is being developed unless they try for a hybrid.
I doubt we'll see a hybrid until '24 at the earliest - likely whenever its refresh appears. I think we'll see a hybrid debut on the new Ranger, and then have Bronco jump on board after.

I agree. I'd have been interested in a hybrid as well (so long as it wasn't rather underpowered) - but see my comment above for timing ideas.

The 4xe is a plug in hybrid though, as others have pointed out - once the battery is used up, you're back to regular ICE power. As opposed to something like the Powerboost F-150 that's using both electric and ICE to varying degrees all the time.

He obviously means the new models standing around the vehicles at shows. Quit putting your wishes into his words.

I think the marketing folks at Ford made a mess of things:
---Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond need to be consolidated into one model
---MGV + rubberization and drain plugs should be an option on most models
---OBX should be leather and and High/Lux package. It's really targeted at folks who want the creature comforts.
---Scrap the Badlands and make make the stabilizer bar disconnect an option on the Wildtrak. The technical specs of BL and Squatch are close enough.
--- The Lux package is too much extra if all you want is B&O. Allow people to add it a la carte to Mid and High packages

I know many folks will disagree with some of my individual points. Collectively, making changes like this would allow Ford to build more flexibility in their product offerings while simplifying their operations.
