There are a few threads like this for SoCal dealerships. I'd like to start up one to share any experience with our options up north so that we can maybe highlight the most consumer friendly choices while we're still able to change reservations.

I've personally had experiences with a handful of Bay Area dealers as we purchased an Explorer in the past couple of years.

San Leandro were complete douches and we don't go to them for any reason. Livermore is my wife's preference and the one I was able to get the reservation through with. Back when we were shopping I found them to be a little on the pushy side and slightly loose with thier information. Walnut Creek was an overall solid experience and is who we would have purchased from if they had our vehicle specced out the way I wanted. Future Ford Concord is where we bought because they had the exact options in inventory. No complaints there really but I think Walnut Creek offered the best overall experience.

Walnut Creek for me.
Bought a couple used cars from them and it has been an overall good experience. I see from some of the other threads they are no ADM and will honor x-plan. Already got an email from the “Bronco specialist” who is actually the guy who sold us our Expedition.

Shopped Future Ford Concord a couple times and walked out due to douchey sales folks who I felt were trying to pull one over on me. Though I believe they are also going to honor x-plan. Haven’t really dealt with anyone else except Ford store in Morgan Hill who were also pretty good when I was shopping for my fusion but did not end up buying from them.

I’m planning on using Frontier Ford in San Jose due to proximity and positive reviews.

The day after the reveal I called in and was told there would be no ADM and the sales rep said he ordered one himself ? I’ll confirm in the coming weeks if they’ll accept X-Plan as well. hoping to change my wildtrak to a badlands from what I’ve seen on the forum shouldn’t be hard or change my spot in “line”

I'm up a bit further north in the Sac Area and my local dealer is in the Roseville Auto Mall.... most of those dealers in there suck butt so I'm really stressed out about it. I dislike that Auto Mall so bad my Last car I bought at a dealer 60 miles away. Problem was that was Mazda cuz even the Ford dealer there sucked.

Basically... I have 2 choices for Ford Dealers....crap and sh!t

Haven't bought a Ford before, so I can't speak to first-hand experience.

I did verify that both Future Ford in Roseville and Sacramento are honoring X-plan with no ADM.

(Originally intended to make my reservation out of Roseville since it was already on the list, but accidentally chose the Sac location. Sent them an email to confirm they were X-plan with no ADM like Roseville and got a text within about 5 minutes. No telling how good they'll be when it comes to order and buy, but at least they're responsive.)

Edit: I should mention that since my initial contact, the communication from Future Ford of Sac has been less than ideal. Sent 3-4 emails over 2-3 weeks to different people before I got a response. A couple of good phone calls after that with, in which they confirmed X-plan with no ADM. Said I would get an email with that in writing. Got an email the next day stating "I just verified again with my general manager that we will be honoring any x-plan pricing offered by Ford on your reserved Bronco. " He included their new car manager on the email for any other questions, but at this point only this one person seems interested in any sort of active communication.

My dealer is Serramonte Ford in the Bay Area. So far great service as the GM personally has reached out and given guidance and updates on status of the process and orders. Also, despite prior info has stated there will be no mark-ups.

That’s great to know thanks for the heads up - not too far for me

Do you know if they’ll take X-Plan?

I'd be sure to get that in writing from Matt at serramonte. This is what he originally sent me

"Congrats on getting the order in on time to reserve the First Edition – we’ve had a lot of calls this morning from customers asking how they can reserve one now that they show sold out. Ford has not disclosed yet whether there will be X Plan pricing available on the Bronco, but due to the unprecedented demand and the extremely limited production of the First Edition we would not be able to honor an X Plan price on this model even if they had it. We are planning on marking up the First Edition over MSRP, as it will be one of only 3500 made and each dealer will be lucky to get 1 or 2 in total."

I have my First Edition Reservation with Downtown Ford in Sacramento.

Chuck Dean the general manager let me know they do not plan on applying ADM to any reservations, including the First Edition, and will honor X-Plan, depending on what Ford allows.

I highly suggest reaching out to this dealership if you have any questions. Chuck was very responsive and happy to answer any and all questions.

I reached out to the Roseville Future Ford and was told that no ADM and yes X-Plan (if available from ford). Now whether they stick to that we'll see but so far so good.

It would be nice if we could get one of these Norcal dealers to match what Granger and Laura Ford are doing for their customers. I can't see changing my reservation to a dealer so far away but there are a lot dealers between SF, Sac, Reno, etc that we all would have no problem driving to.

We bought our Raptor from Downtown Ford in Sacramento, (2013). Overall experience was good, currently have my reservation with them but I need to personally confirm no ADM, X Plan plus addition discounts. I will say there service department is subpar. Still on the fence about submitting another reservation with Future Ford Sacramento, according to the dealer list on 6g they have all three boxes checked. Open to moving my reservation if anyone has confirmed our requirements with another No. California dealer before the October 1 deadline.

Right. Granger has great pricing but if we can get for xplan locally then it's not worth the shipping cost, hassle or wait time to buy that far away. I'd be fine buying pretty much anywhere in CA. It'll be great weather then and can make a nice, possibly topless road trip out of it

Does nobody buy from small town dealers anymore? Big dealers are so bad.

Team Ford in Woodland, St Helena Ford in Napa county or Sanderson Ford in Healdsburg.

Living in the Bay Area pretty much means that's not an option. So far, I'm not very pleased with communication from the dealer that's holding my res. I'm happy to travel a bit if it means that I'm switching to a dealer that's guaranteed to have solid communication, honesty, and no crazy markups or add-ons. What do you like about those three dealers?
