Official recall on the current MIC hardtops. Sending soft tops to all current MIC owners. All models in the lot and being built will be soft tops for the indefinite future. No time estimate on when hardtops will be available because they now have to build a new facility for the tops and redesign them. They'll estimate 2023. Just a guess.

They are still scheduling soft tops tomorrow (last I read at least) so that's kinda good news...

Hopefully they allow Wildtraks to switch to soft top if that is the case.

The way I see it is this just gives FunHaver & the likes more time to develop & manufacture quality parts for my Bronco while all you Beta testers find the other faults for Ford to address. In it for the long run

My ideal solution for my FE that was built on 6/29 would be for them to ship it with the current snakeskin Webasto MIC roof and give me a voucher to buy a CSP MOD top for the original $1895 price when they are available. I'm guessing that I'm going to not be anywhere near as happy with what they are going to jam down our throats at the end of the week as the final solution.

oh i wouldn’t worry ..you First Edition royalty will get your Bronco’s with a good hard top.

Yes, it is financed via my bank on my credit. So they put out all the cash, could I have paid cash, yes... but at 2%, I elected to use my private credit through my bank and leave my money elsewhere where it is making more money.

It's not Ford Credit, and it's not anyone else responsible for the $$$$ at the end of the day. So, yes, I paid for it in full... where I got the funds is immaterial.

Would be very odd to send to homes...logistics nightmare. Probably some truth to replacements being sent and possibly quantities, etc... But they would ship to dealers, standard practice for recall.

i agree. Seems like batch shipments to dealers is easily best answer.

no new plant ...Webasto just put a new add for production operators for tomorrow

i guess people don’t realize Webasto also makes some modular Jeep tops, and other products for vehicles including for Ford and Chrysler . They are a huge GERMAN company.
