Iā€™m only looking for a Manual Transmission 2021 Bronco, otherwise I may pick up an old 1st gen 4Runner or CJ but theyā€™re hard to find. Has to be manual and removable top. Otherwise Iā€™m a car guy and would probably end up with a R35 GTR, Shelby GT350, M2 or M4 or not buy anything.
Agree... only looking for a manual, but cannot be a base model.
Current list is as follows (assuming manual options are available in a higher package level):
1) 2 Door Bronco Raptor, Limited, Platinum, FX4...
2) 4 Door Bronco...
3) New 2022 Ranger Lariat FX4
4) Tacoma TRD Pro
5) 2021 Frontier Pro-4X

If all else fails... I'd keep my Ranger and maybe pick up a something fun like Miata MX-5 RF.
Definitely no Government Motors or Fiat's.

An Explorer ST or Ranger as a distant 3rd choice.

Plan B...

Will probably mean I settle for a 4 door Bronco.

Because I really want a 2 door long wheel base version.

My Plan B only kicks in if the Bronco only comes with the 2.3 I-4.

I'll probably get an F-250 Tremor if that happens or a used Raptor

Want the 2 door probably get the four door. Will probably wait until year 2 or 3 though. Want to drive my 2000 4Runner until hits at least 200K miles

The Bronco is my main choice, but if it's stupid expensive or terrible (very unlikely with the latter, not so unlikely with the former) these are my following choices:

- 2022 Ford Ranger supercab Fx4 (instead of the hastily designed current one)
- maybe a used Toyota 4Runner
- stick with my tuned Golf

I'm a car guy who enjoys the outdoors and offroading, but can only afford one vehicle and it was more practical to get a small car at the time. If I'm out in the bush camping/fishing/hunting it's usually with my Dad and we just take his F-150. But I've got a bigger budget now and as a Ford guy I've been following every drop of info and lusting after a Bronco.

Back in the mid 90's, I owned a couple D-90's. The first one was a Black 2dr soft top with over a 100k miles on it (Driven hard and hung up wet if you know what I mean) I ended up selling it and bought a Yellow 2dr soft top in prestine condition with only 34k on it. I really regret selling that Yellow one. Those older ones were built like a tank but the new ones look really cool. I wish they kept the body-on-frame construction instead of going unibody. I suppose a new one would be a good option if the Bronco doesn't happen,. Which I truly believe will happen and don't mind waiting if it gets pushed back. The wife is bucking for a new car and hardly drives anywhere. Maybe I'll buy her a new Defender and have the best of both worlds. Defender two days a week and Bronco 5 days a week. Lol.

If I can find something like this with 30-40k miles and a bit cheaper.

I need a 4x4 regardless. But I think the Bronco is still happening, so I'm not really making plan B.
