That was a ways back but got me thinking... is the soft top "modular"?

Here are a couple of recent pics that look like you can take the back wraparound off like above?

Maybe it's a zipper that allows you to take that off. Wouldn't need a bimini if that's the case. Hopeful thinking...
I'd always assumed you could put it in safari mode, like a Jeep. Sure looks to be the case. I'd be disappointed if it wasn't. Especially since they're essentially pitching the soft top as "like a Jeep, but better"

II am counting on it, I am sure it is going to be similar to the Jeep JL tops

You made my day (or will make me very disappointed at some point too). ?

I’m hoping the hard top allows you to keep the hard top over the driver and passenger seats like these pics. Kinda like a hard safari top.
I can’t really tell how the soft top attaches from this pic either. You can see the door cover though. ?

Ugh. I love the idea of the soft top, but like the look, security and glass windows. Plus the pics of the MIC on Area 51 look very acceptable, so I'll go with that.

I actually like the look of absolutely no top, so I might get a Bimini top for the summer. It's also relatively cheap.

The more I see the soft top the more I think I will stick with that until I can order a white top.
I’m with you.
Soft top until white is available

Same with me, I am soft top all the way. Loved it with the Jeep and this design seems to be a huge improvement.

+1 on the soft top for delivery (and I plan to get a paint matching modular top later when it's available).

Ford really needs to show us how the soft top works, since they made it standard on all 4DR. I want to see video on how it works, what you have to take off to fold it all the way down, all of that. My current plan is to go soft top only.
Is this really true, because it was originally stated for FE and now that's nowhere to be found. I don't want a stupid MIC top. Again I will take a soft top until I can get a White Mod Top.

PS. as extremely excited as I was about getting the FE reservation I believe it is now referred to the (FU&ked-up Everything) model.

Hopefully no zippers. Jeep made this big improvement with the JL soft top.

Unfortunately I think that it is true for all trims except the FE and WT.....at least for now.

That tilt up feature of the soft was mentioned by Ford in a media release back in August. Said it gave quick access to cargo area.
Best Top is probably making these for Ford. All of them I have seen had zip out windows all the way around creating a safari top. My 76 Top was that way.

This post kinda highlights the poor job fFord is doing putting out relevant product information.

Thanks for sharing the find..
Seriously.

Might sound uninteresting to most people - but if that rear window does "lift" that is a huge + over a Wrangler soft top and would really love that feature for loading bulky stuff or dogs.
Yeah usually you gotta get like a Bestop for stuff like that
