Am I doing this right?

Obligatory and unsolicited pics of my '78

Pre-production mule that I stripped for proof of concept and to see how long it would take

Grateful to be in south Florida for the winter but not looking forward to summer. Have yet to take the doors off or the top completely off.

If you don't mind me asking, what size tires did you put on? Those fill out the wheel wells nicely. I'm getting an OBX and eventually would like to do the same.

I don't mind at all. In fact, I did so much research on the tires that I'm happy to help someone else. These are 275/70/18 BFG KO2s with the stock rims, no lift, didn't touch crash bar - no modifications. I didn't think they would make that much difference so was nervous not to go bigger. However I think they're perfect. I didn't even have to touch the odometer as its close enough MPH to stock. The ride is almost as smooth as the original tires so no complaints there. You can go bigger to 285, but it'll cost you a lot more in tire price and probably MPG.

Thank you! I was a little concerned going bigger due to the 3:73 gearing, and the 2.3, dragging the power down.

2.3 is powerful for the 33 tires. no issues
