The market on cars and trucks always has and always will correct itself.
Always making some uncomfortable……that’s the expense.

I might be able to get a 4-door 2023 Black Diamond SAS with hard top and 2.7L for about $2k over MSRP. Would have to drive 7-8 hours to get it, but it doesn’t seem all that bad of a deal, considering order banks are closed and who knows how long it will take to get after they open. What do y’all think at $2k above sticker?

2k isn't much in the grand scheme of things, if it's what you really want just do it.

4-door BB is the lowest cost to get a 4-door with a stick shift. That's still going to command some ADM for the right buyer. Nobody orders a stick-shift on accident. (ok, one guy on the forum did)

4-door OBX is nothing special, and many dealerships have given up on trying to get ADM out of those.
I thought any Bronco was special? It’s really how you want yours trimmed. I love my OBX and how I have it optioned. Some of the best interior choices out there on the OBX. My dealer had a fully optioned OBX at $15k ADM and it didn’t last 3 days.

I think the mid-year price increase last year was $2000. If I didn't have an order, I'd be ok with $2k over to get a Bronco 10 months sooner.

4-door OBX with the soft top is going to be something like 20% of builds, all for dealer lots. That particular configuration is overbuilt for demand. Even comes standard with an automatic which is the default dealer order for most cars these days.

The ones commanding a premium are the ones which Ford can't figure out how to build (2-doors, 4-door hard tops, Badlands...)

On 6g I have seen as many Wildtraks and Badlands builds as anything. Any Bronco around my area is still in high demand.

Been on the hunt for a higher trim than my incoming Big Bend. So markups are much lower ($5K ish compared to $10-$20K 6 months ago) on upper trim Broncos when you ping them and I’ve almost pulled the trigger on used WildTraks that have barely any miles at near new MSRP.

The biggest issue is trade values are garbage. My garage is full so I want to swap a vehicle but if I’m losing $5-$10K in depreciation immediately on a newish car I still like and drive… it’s not a great deal. I want a Bronco now but in reality I can wait a year plus when I move to Austin.

This was part of my calculation when I bought mine for over MSRP (and used at that!). My trade value had already lost 2K in a couple of months. Some dealers were down 7K. That plus climbing interest rates and the color I wanted was cancelled for '23 and I took on the deal.

It's still stupid high in Houston $10K-$15K over sticker.
Same in DFW. I would be really curious what they are rally selling for.

I just bit the bullet and reached an agreement on a '23 2 door Wildtrak - $1300 over msrp. They were asking $10k over on previous Broncos, so for sure ADMs are going down around here. I swore I would never pay over msrp and I do feel pretty confident that my order will be built this year, but damn it I'm tired of waiting.

I'll probably end up spending ~$5k more than if I waited on my order considering price protection and the small ADM, but I'm also getting HOSS 3.0 and leather seats (losing washout interior and SBD). SBD is no big deal as I would rather do manual disconnect - washout floors is a bigger pill to swallow...

Shopping around the Southern California area over the past few weeks I’ve seen dealers with 10-20k over MSRP when going to the lots or emailing them for a quote, but once I’ve been on the lot to actually talk to them almost all have quickly gone down to 5k over…. so prices are getting better in my opinion, but I’m holding off until they get down to MSRP.

the cars I’ve asked about are various base, BB, BD, and OBX. Most have been 2.3. All hardtops as I wont even ask about the soft tops. 2 and 4 doors, but many more 4 door found on lots then 2 doors.
