I often want to leave some or all of my windows down (or partially down) for my pup. Some combination of windows down, start stop button, exiting and locking the vehicle results in an all windows auto up. IIRC with locking via the fob, I think all windows auto up is repeatable.

Anyone have this? Is it normal?

Is there a fix, FORScan option or simply a precise exiting procedure to permit this?

Possible relevance: I have done some successful window related FORScan mods like enabling fob to do all windows down or up.

Have you tried exiting and just touching the lock button on the door handle to lock it?
I lock it this way most of the time, however I don’t recall leaving my windows down and trying it.

I lock my vehicle in my garage every day with the windows down and have never had them close on their own.

No, will try. I've tried both the fob and the interior buttons. Thanks.

May sound dumb, but is there any way you could tell me your exact process/steps when doing so. Such as:

Windows already down when parking
Put in P
Single start button press
Exit vehicle
Single press lock on fob

This is odd. I live in Phoenix, so unless there is rain or a dust storm I always have my windows rolled down 2" or so due to the heat.

Turn off car. Roll down windows. Get out. Lock w/ fob.

Windows stay put.

Pretty sure they would stay down if I used the door button, but I am in the habit of using the fob so I don't accidentally lock it inside.

Yup, thanks, worked fine. Something about my process, suspecting with the fob is inconsistently "helping" me.

Mine roll up any way I lock mine. I have not looked into why yet. I guess I will now. I really don't like it because I like to leave the windows down a bit in the summer.

There is a setting for Remote Window up that involves the fob - if you push and hold lock for a few seconds, it should roll all the windows up.

So there is a possible fob-related explanation here. Not sure if that's what's happening here, or if something is just generally screwy.

I've got gremlins...

I tried the exact same process again and it failed. As soon as I pressed the lock button, windows auto up.

Unless my FORScan mod to enable Windows up and Windows down (which both work) via fob button hold screwed something up, this should be unrelated to my Screwr behavior.

Those changes I made I got from the master list here on the forum and are as below (with minor column alignment issues I can't fix on my mobile....)

Absolutely.

Have you done any FORScan mods? Obviously, I'm hoping I don't have self inflicted gremlins...

I did the global open and close. I was thinking I caused this, but now I am pretty sure I did. I will have to look at this when I remember. I am in AZ and my Bronco is in TN so there is no way I can do it now.

We might be on to something here! I'm not too skilled at undo-ing my FORScan mods, so hesitant to FAFO...
