Friends - Had an issue crop up about two weeks ago and is now clearly a bug. This is coincidentally about the same time as the CarPlay update came out. I can't recall if we had a Sync update around that time though.

Load out: '22 OBX 4-door, Lux package
Problem: From Park or Drive, when the car is shifted to Reverse the rear/overhead cameras take over the center display as intended. Upon shifting back to Drive, the display continues to show the rear/overhead camera image on screen. Only if I physically press the "X" button on screen, or shift to Park will the cameras turn off and the display revert to Sync or CarPlay.

Inquiring as to whether there is an easy fix for this, or if I need to take it into the dealer for an assessment?

Thanks!

Sounds like the camera delay does it go off once you are above 6-7mph? If so that the delay. One of the updates changed a few of my settings. I canā€™t remember if itā€™s isnā€™t he driver side section or vehicle settings but it is on the radio touchscreen somewhere.

This has been a problem when in low range, hadn't heard of it when in 2H.

I know of a few other people besides myself that have similar problems for a year but only in 4 wheel drive.

I was looking for something a bit more specific, but copy that lol.

And just to clarify, it was not turning off above 5mph, and I'm generally always in eco or default 2H, unfortunately. Sometimes when it rains I get excited to use the slippery conditions setting. šŸ¤£

I thought I'd show you how to fish instead of buying you one! lol

This happened constantly all day long in the bronco I drove at the NH off rodeo in early June. The backup camera briefly pops up as you move the shifter past reverse to drive/Park etc. Sometimes it just sticks. Surprised this hasn't been fixed yet

Well after a little trial and error finding the right menu ;) you guys were correct, the reverse camera delay toggle was on. This was not me (didnā€™t even realize the setting existed). So either my buddy accidentally turned it on or the toggle got flipped for me in one of the updates I got last month.

Anywho, thanks for the assist!

Which menu?

Mine spent 1.5 days at the dealer for the update and it didnā€™t fix it.

I'm sorry, it's been so long I don't remember exactly. But it didn't take long to find. It was in the settings and was named something like "camera settings".

Yeah, I didn't see that. Perhaps only on MID+ packages...
