We just released our Badlands Running the Rubicon trail video! If you have seen our thread telling the story, this is the video.

This video features our new, now available Metal-tech 4x4 Sidewinder frame-mounted rocksliders. These are a 25* angle aggressive rockslider 100% frame mounted with no drilling or modification to your Bronco. Check out the prototypes being hammered by the Rubicon over 5 days of running the Con.

Enjoy the video of our Badlands leading three very well-built FJ40 land cruisers!

Thanks for taking your stuff out and wheeling it! More companies take note!
How we have done it since 2000. Everything we build is due to something we have encountered on the trail at some point. Not just "our trail" but all across North America, from Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, South Dakota, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, and Southern and Northern California of our course, our home trails of the Pacific Northwest. Each area has different lessons, and those trials have shown us what is and is not needed. We build from there, then go back out and test again.

Testing is the fun part!

How are these as steps?

Our Bronco is my wife's daily driver,, currently we have 37" tires and a 3" lift with factory rock rails and we need something to make it easier to get in and out of. But of course we want capable rock sliders as well.

Should we get these or your other set with the wider step surface?

Great video Mark. Thanks for sharing it. Is that the Rough Country high winch mount on the Bronco. Doesn’t seem to slow you down any. Looks good.

*Found it on your website. Very cool. If it bolts to the Mod bumper and is compatible with ACC, I want one.

We made our first sliders that are out now (both 4D and 2D) as full frame-mounted, yet flat-decked "step sliders". You can wheel them hard, they will protect your truck and they extend further from the side of the truck. (again, step sliders)

The Sidewinders were in response to the request for us to angle them up or "boat side" the sliders. The request for this was for a more aggressive slider with hard trails in mind. We are not a company to just repurpose an existing thing and make it "sorta" what is being asked, we ground up and redesigned the whole slider using our 24+ years of commercial building and 35+ years of offroading to build exactly what was being asked. The Sidewinder sliders, frame-mounted are tucked in tight to the truck, use our two-stage rub rail, and after considerable testing at the Broncos optimum 25* angle.

Sidewinders can be used as a step; however, its on tubing since it's angled up. Apply some grip tape to the step areas. They are not wide, but when the doors are open, there is a decent step point at the front and rear.

The MT4x4 winch mount has been ready to go for a bit. We have held off formally releasing it as we want to offer some additional backside frame support after seeing several non-supported winches bend frame mounts. We will have this out very soon. Yes, the 20" single-row light bar is great to have at this point! We also moved the camera down to the front of the winch fairlead, so its 100% still in play too. (all parking sensors are compatible as well) The adaptive cruise control does need to be moved up into the grill if one has that. Performance wise you can see using the winch in the Rubicon video, I love having the winch itself high on the bumper so its always accessible regardless of what I have put the truck into needing the winch. (Low mounts do not work so well in deep snow, mud, water etc) I also like the aggressive approach angle it has. Some videos on our Youtube channel show us rocking it on our 21 badlands in Moab on some crazy approaches up and down.
