I am going to file a claim tomorrow when I get my first inspection sticker.

The rusty bolts do not appear to have any black oxide coating. Pretty easy fix to stop this on future builds.

Do you know the specs on these?

Nope. Haven’t been back to the dealer to get new ones yet. Seems like others have luck with replacements.

Removed my rusty cap screws and took some measurements. Unfortunately, McMasterCarr doesn't carry anything this size. Main problem is the head diameter. If anyone finds a part number or stainless steel replacement, please let me know. Ford gave the engineers a little too much freedom...to my other design engineer friends, please design around COTS hardware for basic crap like a 'trail-sight'...

I just took mine out. Seems a better route than replacing with sst.

Dealers will order replacements for you, problem is they're backordered.

I took mine off, soaked them in white vinegar, scrubbed them with a firm brush and hit them with a coat of rustoleum primer/paint. Look fine until the new ones get here and only cost a couple bucks.

Mine finally showed up at the dealer. As expected, Ford sent the entire trail site assembly.

Looking for help. Love the new Bronco but I noticed that two of my trail site bolts already show surface rust (a week old). Anybody know the part number OR a better/upgraded version that might be available? Seems a bit silly I know, but dont want the rust to drip onto the paint. Thanks.
I am a Certified Cerakote Applicator. I can coat the bolts and threads in a number of different colors.

Before using either method, first, clean the fastener with a metal brush. The crumbled rusty residue will gain access to the threads. The edges of the bolt or nut will take on their natural shape. When not severely damaged, unscrew the hardware with wrenches, extending them with a lever from a scrap of steel tube. If the nut "does not go," you must consider treating the rust to loosen the bond between the two parts. If that doesn't work, you can always buy new ones at scrooz.com.au. I've often bought parts there so I wouldn't advise anything bad.
