Rusting accessory bolts

Every Bronco on the lot here had rusty bolts. It’s unbelievable that something like this, so simple and avoidable gets through. It makes you wonder what other quality issues are lurking. Ford must be spending a fortune fixing these

Mine was built today, I should see it by Wednesday convoy to NY. I expect nothing less than rusted bolts, among a whole host of other problems

I powder coated the SS bracket black to match sights.

Those brackets are great but they cover the slot in the trail site... I would mill a slot out of the bracket so you can still use the trail site as a tie down location and then I would use the bracket as a attachment point for limb risers. If I ever need a flag I would put it on the back.

Same thing happened to me. Vehicle was delivered on 3/25, picked up on 3/26 and I noticed the rust right away.

Ditto re recon1126 post, can someone share the size of the bolts? I don't want to leave them on the truck and risk discoloring the plastic and finish...

I've got some rust going on with the Bronco bolts, but it's not the trail sight ones. One of my black A pillar bolts is rusting as are the ones holding the driver's side interior grab handle. Being western Colorado, these things aren't seeing much in the way of moisture or humidity. Ford really needs to make the hardware available as the "Bronco" bolts are a pretty big part of what makes it unique. I think Ford saved a few cents where they shouldn't have.

If any of you figure out the solution for replacement bolts, please do share. My dumb self over here had 3/4 components on one side rusting so I took them off and left the one female bolt sitting there on the bronco while I repainted the others. Yesterday I came home from work and couldn’t resist switching to the Bronco, forgetting I removed the bolts, to go back into town with the nice weather and now that bolt is lost to the streets

Mine were doing the same, rusted at pickup. It wasn't worth the gas to drive back to the dealer.. I ended up sandblasting mine and putting them in with a batch of powder coating I did over the weekend.

It won't take much to rattle-can them as well. If you go to the hardware store, good luck finding a flush-mount hex stamped 'bronco'

Rattle can mine after wire wheel/brush the rust off.

Posting my bolts here with the same issue. I know I can throw them in a bottle with vinegar and spray with WD-40 but I feel this needs to be addressed after taking delivery just a month ago. Going to the dealer at lunch today to see what they say.

I experimented with some cold blue. Hopefully it lasts a while.

Just went out an checked mine. No rust. They must have the correct coating because where I live we get a ton of fog based on the marine layer and bare metal rusts rapidly.
