Screeching sound.. Please help

Just got my Broncho a few weeks ago. Notice a screeching sound when I open my driver door, coming from the engine area. I also notice it make the same sound when I’m idling (not continuously just every once and a while). Attached is a video, you will hear the sound after 10 seconds. Any help on what this may be and if I should have it looked at immediately would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like something's rubbing. There were reports in early Bronc's of hoses rubbing against moving parts....so I'd check those first.

does it happen only when running? do you have active grill shutters? Unsure if it’s standard option, in any case usually active grill shutters would normally calibrate itself 15 seconds or so after start.. check to see if it’s that.. the first thing i thought of when i heard the pitch of the sound is the servos on my RC stuff

I’m not sure on the active grill shutters.. it happens when I open the driver side door while the power is off and then it will do it intermittently while it is turned on

I’m no car expert at all but it sounds like metal rubbing on metal

This is happening for me too

I’m not sure about giving all the information the “Ford” account is requesting because I’m not sure how that helps. I may just schedule an appointment with my local dealer and have service take a look at it.

Also the sound after I open my driver side door. The Bronco isn’t started, just sitting there.
