Oh they're still melting down...they were under the delusion they would all be driving their Broncos months before anybody else.
They didn't realize that First Edition doesn't mean First Built? 😏. Clowns! lol

Allocation will always be a thing for dealers, especially on high demand items.

They haven't given us an exact allocation formula for 2022 Broncos, but you can bet it will have something to do with 2021 Bronco sales, market area, share of nation sales, and bronco orders/reservations that the dealership holds.

I'm not sure what the current reservation count is, but I'd imagine that all reservations that choose not to hold off for the 2023 painted tops will be filled and towards the end of 2022 it will be dealership stock that will begin to be built.
Any talk of Ford releasing some of the MY22 colors, engine/transmission options, and other trims? I think if they released future options then some people will gladly delay their orders for a new color or trim. That would move people's anxiety from being upset over this process to being excited about something new to come. Has Ford not considered that?

If
things go as they have in the past Ford will release anything new shortly before the '22 build/price page goes live (Some time in Sept. IIRC). Notice I say "If". Nothing seems to have gone "as usual" this year.

Okay so Wildtraks with all the works are going to end up MY22’s as they’re basically a discount FE. So whats the EXACT date in September we have to go “re-order” our rides?
Ford better pony up some serious Reward Points if they end up shafting all the Wildtrak builds with early reservations into MY22

I've changed from dual to soft top to get the 200k FordPass points, now if I'm not a September build I'd like to wait to MY22 build.

Suggestions on how to do that if I'm not scheduled in September?

ETA i have plenty of sins 2.7, lux, SAS

Also if I went MIC now would I still be 200k ford points eligible?
How do you get 200K points?

I did see some people scheduled yesterday with WT orders. This is my biggest concern. Nowhere have I seen or heard if a WT can be switched to a soft top. Ford show us WT people some love.
I am one of those Wildtrack orders that got a build date yesterday for Aug 9 production. I was a early day 1 reservation and also within the first 5 of my dealer's allocation. I had nearly given up and wasn't even looking anymore and got a surprise. But, no you can't get the WT with a softop, but you can configure and Outerbanks in the exact same way and the price will be within $200 of the Wildtrack. And you CAN order that with a soft top. The only differences will be that on the OBX, you have different choice of seat colors, color coded side mirrors, and no hood graphics.

Ironically, I had a 2nd reservation that i pulled back from 2022, and just last week put it in as an OBX soft top order. My plan was to keep whichever got built first. I assumed that the OBX soft top would come up first. To my surprise, the WT MIC came up. And I cancelled my other order.

Lesson learned - anything could happen despite how you try to work the system.

So, I just got off phone with the Ford Bronco customer service line, she said my build week was again bouncing "between July 26th and August 2nd." When I said I was curious about that because from what we heard the plant was going to be closed week of July 26th she chuckled and asked "where did you hear that, on a forum." I said well yeah. She said oh okay and chuckled again.... So I don't really have any idea what's going on lol. @PREMiERdrum isn't this kinda weird?! You'd think CS would know right? Is there a chance they might be running the week of the 26th?! Lol

H1! Who knows, right? 7/26 is definitely a down week, but the process to reschedule those builds appears to be slow. With the holiday Monday, I'd expect you'd be able to know your new build date by the end of next week. Several were actually pulled forward a week or two, many were moved back a week. I wouldn't expect it to be outside of that range.

Alllssoooo.... A week or to ago I was moved to July 26... Since then I had been bumped back to Aug16, then pulled back to Aug2. Now today that damn week of 26th came back. Thus my confusion to being pulled back into that week lol

I'm gonna go with the latter.
Yeah they will not tell you. That requires transparency and there's no profits to be made in transparency. If they tell people that then they are likely to leave and buy a different vehicle, so they dangly hope in front of us to get us to hold off so long that it doesnt make any sense to leave and we choose to stick it out....

Maybe they are intentionally closing down the plant to hide behind the MIC problem. I know they kind of said that (waiting to ramp up MIC supply). But I could understand why CS would get a chuckle out of that.

There are several articles about Ford shutting down other plants due to the chip shortage. Some of them mention the Bronco shutdown is not related, but to a "unspecified" or "undisclosed" part supply issue. Doubt it the MIC, that's already common knowledge.

You should expect nothing and be happy if it happens lol. Logic would tell you absolutely not, you have zero chance. Ford rollout mixed with all the different models and constraints issues has changed everything. So at this point it’s model specific.
I actually think that one of Granger's November reservations was already built. So it's random select at Ford.
