Yea, if production is FE heavy towards the back end, it probably spells trouble for similar loaded non-FE builds that are still unassigned. Particularly sucks for those of which have early reservations and havent been picked yet. I suppose we may find out that some Day 1/2 reservation will be 2022s, and its probably due to just bad luck (ie getting on a dealer list and being paired up with a lot of loaded builds that are just ever so slightly ahead of you). I could see this being the case with group buys. or maybe higher demographic areas in Texas or the south where there are bigger concentration of people who want a bronco and could afford to get a loaded one.....although I've been saying this for months.

Also no need to wait to switch to a soft top. Any new vehicles scheduled with soft top will be September production and include the hard top prep kit.
Is this new news from within the past few days? I had just emailed you guys about adjusting my order earlier this week and mentioned I would have it be a hard top for now, and then switch to soft top in September to ensure the prep kit gets included. If any soft top order submitted now will for sure not be produced until September and include the prep kit, I'd change to soft top now to get in line and hopefully pulled sooner.

And side note, how many total orders have you guys received?

Yes, there was an email sent out yesterday evening that clarified this for us.

We have over 1000+ total unconverted reservations/converted orders

I'm going to be pissed if I don't get a 2021.

Reading between the lines this is still sounding good for 2dr folks
How is that? Granger didn't specify the split between 2-door and 4-door in his allocation.

Everything Ford has transmitted indicates the 2-door production is limited based on the MIC top; Ford has indicated such since the beginning of the year.

@Zach@Granger

Is allocation just a 2021 thing? Or are we going to do the same stupid crap for 2022?
Not Zach BUT I inquired about a different model with Zach a few months ago and was told that they didn't have ALLOCATION for that model either (not a Bronco). This means that allocation applies to everything from sedans to minivans to trucks.

THANK YOU. THIS is the kind of information we need after that email.

I'm a 5am 7/14 res holder at Granger. 4dr/2.7/BL/MIC/Lux
Given your comments on FE priority, would switching to a soft top help me even if I still have the Lux?

Thanks for all your help.

Yes, I would sure think so. You may still get it as a MIC top in 2021 too. I don't have the answer for you on that.

I do know the likelihood greatly increases if it goes soft top with 40% production being a soft top, that well exceeds the demand for soft top.

As always, thanks for the transparency, Zach.

Depending on where some of you are, this update can be a hard pill to swallow, but at least you can prepare yourself instead of being led on blindly.

Has Ford actually said what the HT Prep Kit consists of? I’ve seen speculation on this site but have not seen anything definitive. If I missed it, I apologize.

Thanks for the great info above.

Thanks @Zach@Granger

Bummer but I understand. Thank you for your efforts to communicate with us.

I spoke with Sean yesterday and removed the Tow pack from my 2D order. He was very helpful.

Hey when was your reservation? We have almost the exact same build. Soft top or MIC?

From the 6/25 FAQ thread.
What is included in the hardtop prep kit? The hardtop prep kit is included on all 4-door soft top orders, effective with September 21MY production. The kit includes the proper connections for rear windshield wiper and rear defroster as well as the controls needed for these features.
