Depends on what freight class it would fall into, what carrier and what its insured for.

You don’t have to ship a top with the front panel attached. I looked at the sizes and weights, you can likely ship one LTL to a non lift gate commercial address for less than $300. I priced shipping a Ranger pickup box from Levittown Ford to my house and it was under $800, so I’d estimate the number to be around $400-600 depending how far you are.

Its not just the shipping/handling, the dealer will charge more than shipping cost for installation. Its a logistical mess and unnecessary. Making you wait a few months is free and easy. Not sure why this is hard to understand and accept.
Oh no you didn't just try using logic did you? I can't believe it, I'm shocked, I'm crestfallen, and mostly downhearted. I want to bitch, whine, and cry about something I have no control over, and you better not try to stop me. ;) :)

I’ve never seen a dealer charge for shipping to their facility. Worst comes to worst, you can order one from the parts counter. Someone smarter than I can speak to this.

As far as installation, I think it’s simple enough for almost any of us to figure out.

oh wait, when they ship the chipless F150s to dealers for storage they could just put a Bronco top in every bed, solved.

Besides shipping cost will be the cost of the wood crate.....then IMO; 10% will come damaged and 5% will be scratched or damaged being installed at the Dealer.

It all depends on the freight class. The higher the density the lower the freight class. Meaning small volume and heavy weight is cheaper than large volume and light weight. For example steel fasteners (nuts and bolts) ship under a class-50. Which is the cheapest rate. Foam gaskets ship under a class-100 which is very expensive. A Bronco top is going to be closer to a class-100 than a class-50. By LTL carrier from Michigan to the west coast I would expect about $1500. Shipping large quantities together would bring that down substantially.
