Hey Everyone,

I've been debating adding the tow package.

I understand that a lot of people have removed it to increase their chances of getting an earlier build date but i've been waiting so long at this point and I feel like the tow package wouldn't really impact my build. I've also already purchased a beater to get me around for summer.

I still have yet to receive a build date and I'm a 7/13 10:35 PM Eastern reservation time.

Just curious what other think.
Would adding the tow package delay me even more? Or is it the other components in my build that are the greater problem?

Unfortunately, at this point who knows, but the wise Ford God! 🤫

I'm in the same dilemma!

We know 2 Doors are affected by the MIC,
Sasq is affected, I've heard the 2.7 is somewhat affected. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve had towing on my OBX since I was first scheduled for 6/7 build week. I’ve been moved to 6/28, 7/5 and now 7/23 and at this point I’m sticking with everything I want. just my opinion but I’d you’ve waiting this long, why not get what you want?

Just add it later. If you don’t need the trailer brake controller it’s an easy do it yourself add on. If you need the brake controller use your ford points to let the dealer wire it up.

Its one of many features on your order that will affect your build date........I think you'd have to start stripping off more parts than just the tow package to 'possibly' get yours sooner

May not have many tow packages laying around today, but by the time the stars align for your MIC roof, 2DR, 2.7, Sasquatch, etc., they might be flush with them. If you want it, may not hurt to add it but you'll likely never know either way.

I recently added the tow package back onto my order. I felt that the MIC top will be the bigger issue, and the tow package should be in stock before the MIC's. Nice to have all the wiring installed by Ford.

I would add it...in the early builds, 47% of those that got scheduled had Tow package (compared to 65% who ordered it)....so it's not like it was a massive limitation like MIC was and is.

Go aftermarket for a class IV. Much more stable...

Get one aftermarket or through the Ford catalog. Don’t have to deal with the extra interest rate that it would have through a loan.

I was in the same boat. I just added it back. At this point I don't believe there's anything about my build I can change to get it sooner. And I've waited this long, what does it matter?
