I’d like to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, but 2+2 don’t make 8.

And here I am putting my front panels and a piece of plastic over the rear section (cause my cap is stored at an alternate location) to keep out the pop-up drizzle we’re supposed to have this morning.

I imagine this happened something like this:

Wife: I am going to bed, did you close the roof on my Bronco today after you used it? I hear it is going to snow tonight.

Tyrone: Yes Dear

[About 4am Tyrone gets up to use restroom, sees and hears the storm outside, remembers he left the top open]

Tyrone: F***

[Tyrone runs outside half naked, sees it full of snow, repeats F***, closes up top, gets back inside and to bed making sure not to wake his wife]

[morning comes wife wakes and gets ready to work discovers her Bronco filled with snow]

Wife: Tyrone wake up, wake up, look what happened to my Bronco its full of snow.

[she drags him outside to look]

Tyrone: Wow, look at that s***, I cannot believe it, what sort of crap do they have for seals, I am going to post this to facebook right away cause this is bulls***. I am so sorry honey this happened with your Bronco, I'll make sure the dealer finds and fixes this problem.

[A** covered]

I don't have a soft top but I know on them you can easily reach through the sides at the top from both inside and outside when it's properly latched.
Uh, you have received incorrect information.

I dunno. I'm calling BS on this one. I don't even see how this is possible unless a window was left down or the top was left unlatched.

It's a public group so the link should open the story.

Has to be BS. That said this may be the most north a Bronco has ever been?

I must be really bored. LOL

Just did a little research. Here is the past weather for Tuktoyaktuk. Not really what I would call blizzard conditions. There would have to be some pretty high sustained winds for a long period of time for that much snow to get through the seals as some are saying.

Confirmed BS. We have had well over 10 ft. of snow in the past week or so here in Tahoe. Mine has been parked outside with gusts topping 100 mph. Not a drop or flake has gotten inside.

Just to note this is the most fun and snow worthy vehicle I've ever owned. The weight distribution and balance make it fun to drive and you can drift controllably in 4H with the autotrac turned off. The only car or truck that can beat it is possibly an Audi with studless snow tires. But in our recent conditions the snow was too deep. Snow would be blinding you coming over the hood if you could even push through it. The wife was driving it yesterday and stopped before going down an unplowed street with at l. I said go for it. It just charges through. She would never have attempted it in any other car.

Not saying he didn't contribute to this but that area is exactly where snow would be free to blow in from a good strong sideways wind. There is no physical security there for sealing, it's just a piece of weather-stripping. Without any effort at all you can reach through this and into the cab on any soft top. The same is true for a strong enough gust of wind, it would come in, go upwards once it hits the roll bar, continue up and around and then begin to come back down. This pattern is highly consistent with that. However I do believe his top wasn't nearly as secured as it should be so it's a double down of bad luck.
Right, because no automotive manufacturer has environmental chambers to test their vehicles and no manufacturer ever takes their new designs to their desert and winter testing grounds for validation of test data. Never.
