I've driven everything that Ford offers. I've noticed no difference in the way my speed sign recognition works compared to any other vehicle. The Bronco does not have speed sign reading, no question about it. If you have ever driven a Ford with the advanced co-pilot stuff, it is unmistakable. It sucks because its an awesome feature that works great, and the Bronco has all the hardware to do it. There is a thread on this forum where some trailblazers have figured out most of the Forscan settings to enable the intelligent features like stop and go ACC, lane centering, and speed sign reading, all of which we dont have.
That being said, it is possible the workshop manual is wrong. But I've never once came across any information or training that said speed sign recognition was based off of GPS instead of the IMPA for any Ford vehicle.
