I've been running the GoRhino D6 steps since 2021, they get the job done (the job being: my wife and children can get into the car mostly without issue). However, I do have some pretty hard runs planned over the next two years. I want to swap them out with ones ideally have at least some amount of frame mounting.

These are my current options I'm eyeballing:

$859 - https://turnoffroad.com/products/2021-ford-bronco-4-door-step-rock-slider - still not frame mounted, but much beefier steel and brackets, I think they look great too. I'm skeptical that this worth my dollars given that it's still body mounted, but at a glance it looks like they can take a much harder hit.

$1100 - https://rcimetalworks.com/product/rock-sliders-21-present-bronco/ - this is more appropriate, frame mounted, has that nice curve towards the rear to pivot around a big rock.

EDIT: added photos
MetalTech4x4 has a few different versions of frame mounted. Very well built right here in the USA.

@PWillette Thank you, yes, made right in-house here in the USA.

100% frame mounted, so built so they can take a beating yet still be a functioning step. Also, just past the curve of the outer doors, so urban armor too. They bite back at door-ding attempts! We even have a set in stock at this time.

If you read on the site, the upgraded them a bit. There is a piece of steel added that covers the pinch weld. You can see it in the picture you posted, but it is not on the ones on the install video (older model?). I would love to here more opinions on these.

nice catch, these are still the front runner for me. I'll see if the guys over at shift autowerx can recommend a local spot for powdercoating

Front runner for me too. I like the no drill, frame mounted design. Do you not trust their powder coating?

I thought on the website it indicates they only ship as raw metal. Maybe something changed, they offer it as an upcharge now.

Yes, they do offer it. I can tell that they have shipping concerns. However mine showed up Tuesday evening, painted and appear to be undamaged. I haven't unwrapped them yet, but they did a really good job with packaging. Hopefully I can get them on this weekend. This is the video to reference for install . They have updated the mounting, so both models mount the same way now. You can see the packaging below. They wrap them in moving blankets and foam wrap.

Somewhere in my UPS chain of custody lives a dude that sees an oversized, over weight package as a challenge and offense to his personal manhood. A threat to his very existence. The more effort, careful packaging, and protection applied to this disgusting parcel...the more offensive it is...and the more shipping justice he must apply! If he saw that pallet coming his way....GAME ON!

Given how much my rig is daily driven, I love the convenience, looks and function of my motorized Rock Slide Engineering sliders. Getting in and out of my Raptor is just fantastic.

This was my original plan, but then I decided that I wanted something simpler on the install. I'm trying to do as little wiring as possible on the Bronco. Also, my Bronco is not a daily driver, so needing a ladder to get in just adds to the adventure.

Got the Metal-Tech 4X4 rock rail/steps installed over the weekend. It wasn't too bad of an install. Did it in the driveway with my 8 year old handing me tools (pretty sure this added time to the job). Used standard tools and a small floor jack. The powder coat is perfect and there was no shipping damage. They are extremely solid. They actually make a much better step than what they what you would assume based on the pictures. I like them so far!
