Stinger 12” sub box mounted on back tail gate

had it done professionally bc I would mess it up. Added a RF amp for power management (hid that under the front seat) and added a volume control knob on the dash.

Whoa… the sound is great. It just what’s needed to add good depth to the sound. I didn’t order the upgraded audio - this though far exceeded my expectations.

It also fits pretty well and with the shallow 12 it doesn’t take away from storage space in the back.

Here’s some photos, I’ll get a video of the sound and follow up.

exactly! I lose virtually no cargo space, and the stinger box is fairly weatherproof too so there little concern of it being damaged with the roof off

they had it in a regional wear house, took a week to get here. The sub is a shallow 12” Phoenix Gold

I also spent about $500 replacing the interior speakers with higher quality ones.

Thanks for posting this up - looks good and IMO more functional than a flip down table...(for me...table is cool but tunes for a DD win out over a table that would see occasional use at best)

None. And, I'm a hip hop / R&B fan - went through a few songs that I knew would put that speaker to the test. I'll try to get a video today and I'll post it.

We put this in our Bronco over the summer as well. When the wife saw it she was worried also about the added weight to the door. She was happy that it made no noticeable difference in opening the door or storage.

It thumps! Ok not professional level but it's awesome. We paired it with a 5 channel amp that put 300W rms to the sub. If you want you can easily feel the thump in the drivers seat!
