Thank you, I could not take the black tailgate anymore.
Yup, mine is being painted up all proper like as I type this. Went round and round on the pinch weld, decided it needed paint as well. Took the flat black wrap off of the hood and went flat black paint. Brush bar orange as well. Like the blue to well to remove it from the windows, feel something about that. Might change my mind later.

Why would Ford paint the tailgate black and wrap the hood?

Maybe cheaper to do the tailgate in the flat black? Call me crazy, but I do not mind the tailgate being black.....the colour match of the fenders also looks good. The hood, being flat black,k is what it should have been, but painted.

Ford did the same with their black package, as the hood, which I expected would have been painted black, is instead a sticker or some type of vinyl peel-off.

I could see it as carrying the theme from an asthetic view point to the rear tailgate. Obviously, Ford design Team didn't consult with me.

What I mean is, the tailgate is black paint but the hood is black wrap?

Yes, correct. Can't tell you why. From my perspective im putting a wind deflector across the top of the hood. Wrap's have to be re wrapped every 4-5 years, meaning i would have to purchase or re sticky tape down a deflector each time. Painting the hood eliminates that issue.

Agreed. Disappointing that it isn’t paint. What paint are you using?

Ok,

Initially I figured finding a base trim 2dr manual sasquatch was going to be difficult because it was just owned by people who weren't going to let it go.

What the dealer said was it was a special order only for pretty much every dealer in 2022.

So my question is, I have a Cyber Orange Metallic 2 Dr base advanced trim with a manual transmission and the sound deadening option for the hard top with 23k miles on it that I just paid 36k for. Would this be rare and in 20 years would it be basically a unicorn or were 10s of thousands made the exact same and its just uncommon?

Nor could I... Also, I dealt with the White under the door and the pinch weld.

Could you post a pic with the door open to see where and how you transitioned the rockers from white to the newly painted code orange.

Thanks just picked up a used stroppe with 980 miles.
