Just about every other thread in this forum is about replacing the factory speakers with Kicker speakers, but where are all the super high-end systems owners? I have seen a small handful of guys talking amongst themselves about Blam, Focal, Gladen and other high-end components but never spill the beans on their full system.

Post your builds! Especially the ones that look stealth / factory!

In a vehicle as noisy as Bronco on the road at any speed over 15 mph there is no difference between a $2K set of 6.5 or a $400 set other than power rating which is meaninless because 40W channel at 100% will make ears bleed.

Some guys have Audison amps and decent mid grade speakers. Have not seen one whos installed $10K + in speakers.

I have MSRP $4K in speakers and mono amp and consider it mass consumer market mid grade. Havent even plugged in Audison DSP amp it sounds so good!

Personally, I would rather talk about sound deadening, integration, installation, headroom, phase, time alignment, proper gain structure, tuning, etc., but here's some older pictures:

Amps are Helix P Six Ultimate, Helix P Two, Helix P One MKII. Subs are Focal SUB 30 KXE's.

@5GENIDN has a really nice system in his if I recall.

I'm about to drop an Audison in mine to go with Morels. But not really much to see, I have some custom dash covers, but not really anything to look at anywhere - still looks pretty stock. Not high end, but ... getting nearer.

But honestly, chasing audiophile sound in the Bronco is a fool's errand. I freely acknowledge I am more or less wasting my money here chasing something I'm never gonna get quite right.

@BigMeatsBronco wins the kick panel modification award.

Good point. Unless one has a lot of RTA and DSP tune experience just to end up with a static DSP tune VS B&O dynamic tune thanks to B&O acoustic engineering dept's vast capabilities it all seems kinda risky to invest too much.

I personally like the B&O with 1000w sub amp and Hertz MPBX300s2 tailgate sub coupled with mid grade consumer drivers and a lot of sound deadening and absorbing.

I doubt I can do any better with my Audison DSP amp.....plus I don't wanna spend 60 hrs running speaker wires and playing with the tune, which as soon as I remove the top will need a secondary tune, plus a DRC tune switcher device.....maybe if I get bored I buy a new Audison DSP amp coupled with a high grade AtoB....

I cheated.... I over paid for a top end plug and play kit. I have to admit the "tuning it" made mine the easy route. This is high end stuff I am looking at here... Yes, getting it tuned right is probably the hardest part.... BUT if that gets tuned right it will be rightous!

Probably paid about the same or less
than I have buying and rebuying and reinstalling over and over rather than buying once and crying once

Where did you have your kick panel grills made? That is the next thing I need.

I don’t have my Bronco anymore, but I did have a decent sound system upgrade installed.

I thought I did a write-up on it but I can’t find it on here so maybe I didn’t. I do have a couple pictures of the upgrade and what was installed though. Hopefully it helps.

Nice. I spent some time in the DSP from 3-6KHz and really tamed the windshield effect down. Staging improved quite a bit and the piercing vocals now sound real. Sometimes you have to just tune by ear.

Best to pay experienced remote tuner the $600 or whatever, AFTER the new deivers jave about 100 hours on ones personal tune and fully broken in somto speak.

LOL.

No build thread, but for me, the most impressive part of my system is the extensive sound deadening. About a year ago, I looked at all the receipts, and I have roughly $2,300 in Resonix CLD, Fibermat, Guardian, etc. I literally have 60lbs of Mega CLD throughout the cabin. Every plastic panel is treated and decoupled. With or without music, it makes the Bronco more enjoyable to drive.

Crazy thing is, at 75% volume, there's a tiny rattle somewhere in the cargo area that I can't find, which drives me nuts. Aside from that, the cabin is like a vault, but at some point, I'm going to pull the front fenders and liners, plus the rear quarter panels, and treat those parts to to see if it mitigates some road buzz.

The second most impressive is the tuning. Over the span of two years, I've had my Bronco tuned a total of three times. The first two tunes were done by Jeffrey Hald (remotely), and the last and final tune was done (in person) recently by one of the best tuners in the Country. Can anyone guess who?

Anyone who's apprehensive about tuning, it's the best investment you can make in ANY audio system, and if anyone in SoCal is interested in a demo, I'm on the West end of the SFV.
