That's good to know, maybe I'm a little scorn from the Jetta lol.
You're in for a whole new world compared to a Volkswagen. Those things take forever, especially the old 20V 1.8T's.

That is strange if the sport has one. I've never noticed it beyond the diesel superduty trucks. I like the concept and I'd be interested in one even on a gasser.
I looked throught the Sport's option list and I didn't see it. If someone could point it out that would be great. I have the supplemental heater on my F-350. It starts pumping out heat pretty quickly. I think it was a $350 or so option. Well worth it on a diesel.

I found out via a build sheet for the sport that it has an electric aux heater option that will warm via hvac before the engine is warm. I found a post back in Feb mentioning the ptc but have not found anything since. This would be nice to hear for those with the manual who cannot get mid (heated seats). Atleast the cabin would warm up quickly. Does anyone know if this is an option or feature for the big bronco?
That thing must provide near instant heat because the 2.0 in our Escape already warms up quickly. It starts blowing warm air the fastest of any vehicle I've owned--usually in about 2 minutes in the winter. I always attributed it to the small displacement and the turbo.

FYI, if you start your vehicle and drive it, it will warm up 4-5x faster than if you just let it sit and idle until it warms up.

It's also on certain escapes.

See PTC line item listed there. I found it on a few escapes as well. @Paul Gagnon

Ah I see. That's cool, especially for free. After having one in my truck, I would never buy another diesel without one.

Ours is 7 years old and I never heard of this before it was mentioned here, so I'm 99.9% certain it's not on our vehicle.

The 2.3L warms up quick. Honestly all of the aluminum-blocked engines I've had have warmed up faster than my iron-blocked ones.
I'm always amazed how quickly my 2.3 warms up.

Id definitely select the aux heater if it was an option, but I've also never seen it outside the diesel SD's. I'll be surprised if the Bronco has one.

We all know Ford didn't put much thought into this sorta thing...

A friend has it on her Fusion, heat blows warm in just a couple minutes. On my 2019 Edge, I’m half way to work before I get heat.

Ford would've just thrown it in to the Lux package if we had to be honest with ourselves.

That's what im wondering. My commute is only 10 miles. I know, first world problems but it would be nice with heat.
