I personally donāt keep shackles on all the time, but I do like the look, especially in a color. At some point you will need them. Buy what you want and see how you feel with the look.

I think itās dumb and is right up there with never used recovery boards, empty Rotopax, a shovel and a Hi-Lift jack riding around on rig full time getting ruined by the elements on a rig thatāll likely never have the need to use any of it.

My shackles never come off, but I have the Capable bumper and that's the way it came.
The only worries I'd have in your place is that they might rattle and/or get frozen in place. Other than that, it's your rig so what you want. At least in this case it's easily reversed if you decide you don't like it.

I half agree too. I just wondered. Iām also looking at doing a voodoo ropes soft shackle package with the rope and everything and calling it good.
I just know not having a winch (Iāll add one in the rear but thatās a ways off) I will need to make helping me as easy as possible for all parties.
west Texas is pretty unforgiving.
I don't listen to music at all in my vehicles so if the shackles rattled all the time, it would drive me crazy. If there's a way to keep them tight with no rattle then I would go for it. You can hear Jeeps with shackles coming from miles away.
