Nice finds! Apparently I didn't look around the other day when I ran across them.. 😂
I noticed the discounted limiter had 4 holes and the new one 6.

Interesting. As long as it will stop at around 90° I would be fine with it. And I really haven't had any problems with my Factory strut. Might give it a shot. Been looking for one for a while but never pulled the trigger.

This looks great. People have mentioned that some tailgate limiters can bend the sheet metal and do damage. Can anyone mention if this design looks like it might do the same?
From what I recall, it is not the limiter that bends the tailgate sheet metal, but the strut bolted directly into the tailgate, which the limiter corrects.

The limiter bolts solidly to the tailgate, and your strut to the limiter. The limiter is not going to bend. Well, the warhorse won't, and monkey biz looks to be similar, hence strong

I would buy the 4 because it's all you probably need. And you can always drill another hole if you need to open wider. You don't "need" the rivenuts if you don't have them, can use a bolt on the back side like the warhorse does.

Very true. And I do have a Riv-nut kit that's come in handy plenty of times on the Bronco.

If you do go the 4, I entered raw finish and it's 20. I wonder what other differences would warrant a 30$ gap. I'd might email them. But I dont see any difference

With a $25 delivery fee..... Ouch!
Yep! For $20 I was about to pull the trigger, and then I paused at the $25 delivery. Flat rate would be a fraction of that. Adding and removing things from the cart it looks like once you get over a hundred it's free. But I don't need $100 worth of their stuff.

Well I guess it still puts it the same price as that aluminum one for $45 on amazon. I would try the aluminum one but looks like it's only available in that goldish color. Would be a easier choice if it was available in either plain aluminum or black. I'm wondering which of these designs puts less torque on the mounting. Thinking probably the Monkey Business one.

I'm almost tempted to throw a riv-nut in the right spot on the bottom of the tailgate...🤔

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1707571350/bronco-tailgate-limiter-black is 120 now. I like this style and monkey business over the Amazon one. For price, at the moment, MBiz is still looking top.
Id pick stainless over aluminum for strength.

I left mine in raw stainless(the warhorse) and it looks great unfinished, I recommend it

Lol, I did the same. I even changed the mailing address to see if it moved and nope. This is something we are looking into but not needed yet. So we can wait a while to see if more companies start making them or prices come down some.
