Terrible Rust Throughout My Bronco Interior - How Did It Happen?

I come across rusted/oxidized headrest mounts multiple times a week where I work, ironically from vehicles considered luxury…

Nobody usually notices because, well, how can you unless you detach the mount?

the pictures under the dash near the instrument panel support - that is normal. I have had that on my Dodge, F150, VW, lincoln you name it

The pic with the rust on the headrest is not. That should be covered by Ford

Is anyone else experiencing the INSIDE of their Bronco rusting? Basically, any unpainted surface in my Bronco is covered in rust. I have never left the roof off in the rain or gone into deep water. I tried to have it covered by Ford but they rejected it under the corrosion warranty. If this isn't corrosion, I do not understand what corrosion is.

It's the latest trend from all auto companies....Pay More, Get Less, but you're so lucky you got your one! Don't you feel lucky, well don't ya....

Obviously, this wouldn't help for the interior stuff, but you can get a Ceramic Undercoating Paint Protection spray applied to the undercarrige of your rig. It is said to protect from the elements / road salts etc. for up to 10 years. I have heard good things about it, don't have experience with it myself though.

But seriously -- fluid film or other lanolin product really helps. I live in the rust belt, where all roads are salted and have a fine salt mist daily for 6 months of winter.

That corroseal product someone mentioned looked good as well for stuff that already is rusted.

Ocean salts mixed with a little humidity will destroy metal in a few short hours. I know this from riding JetSkis, we must power wash and flush our engines religiously every time we use them in the ocean.

I had this happen to my bronco after having it at the beach in NJ for the summer.

He also stated he never left his top down or lives anywhere close to a beach, then changed to was 5 blocks from the beach, left it down several nights.

I have zero rust on my Bronco. None inside or out. But I live in low humidity Arizona. I'd be pissed if I had had rust on interior parts. I understand rust on bare steel components on running gear but I have none of that either.
