The only thing I wish I would have done was bring a Go-pro or my dash camera to record video of my adventures.

The 1st of August I stayed my 1st night at fairfield inn near summerlin, then checked on reservations at red rock for the next 2 nights, much to my surprise, the red rock/ford promo rate was slightly cheaper($107?) so I switched to red rock casino which was closer & included upgraded room with long distance view of the strip, $100 gambling card & $35 per day food allowance on site. I was pleasantly surprised at the wide variety of events, restaurants & services at the Red rock, I was well entertained without leaving red rocks. Rooms & pool complex were awesome!

Off-roadeo was a blast & great coaches/team members!

Entrance has a sign “No Trespassing.” Ignore it. It’s at an old Boy Scout camp.
That is GREAT info to have! Thank you.

Here where I live - you ignore a "No Trespassing" sign at your own risk. More likely than not you'll be met by an AR and a "you look like a gubbamint man to me" stare. ;)

I stayed at Red Cliff's lodge for the MOAB Off-Roadeo which was on the same property. Loved the entire experience. After the experience I feel more connected to my Bronco now. I attribute this to the trail guides and their expert guidance. Tried to prepare beforehand with backpack, water, snacks, phone charger. I honestly wish I knew how much fun it was going to be and to relax and get a good nights sleep beforehand. I was like a kid on Christmas Eve. I purchased the pictures from the event and loved how they turned out. Enjoy yourself and have a wonderful time.

I think the shuttle is location specific, but never hurts to verify. The Texas location has a deal with the Horseshoe Bay Resort, and it specifically states there is a shuttle...but again, I'd ask. I looked at the location when booking and it was over 1200/night for the day I chose. I balked and looked elsewhere in town. Was able to get breakfast, and even hit up the local HEB because I forgot sun screen....yeah, sun screen! TAKE IT! you'll be outside quite a bit, and you'll want it.

I would also wager that in the early days when it was a 2 day experience and not a 1 day experience, that the common hotel was more convenient and allowed for hanging out after. Now that it's a 1 day event I feel many people head for the hills and make other plans for the evening after being out all day.

I will also say that like a couple of others. I was the only single driver there that day. Everyone else had a guest. So that meant I was "Bronco 1" and rode with the trail guide. We had a good time and he and I talked about a lot of things. It was nice to pick his brain while just driving around.

We went to Moab in May and, being peak season, weather-wise, hotels were outrageously expensive. We stayed at Red Moon lodge, a B&B on the other side of Moab, for half the price of the other options. Each room had its own separate entrance and the owner makes homemade breads and granola and provides coffee and hard boiled eggs which were all excellent and enough for us to get going. Even though we had a longer drive its Moab and not NYC you’re navigating so just leave a little earlier. The on-site hotel is nice and super convenient so if you don’t mind paying up, then its a great choice.

Things to know: Get there early, at a minimum of 30 minutes before, and be ready to roll. Once they start you are on the move the rest of the day. plus there are cool displays to check out and you can shop for swag.

Bring a hat, sunscreen and wear layers as needed.

There was only one 2-door in our group and it went fast. I was disappointed initially but the guide hopped in our Bronco and we had direct acces to him all day and were the lead vehicle, so the universe made things right.

They leave soft tops up to save on cleanup time and their are no manual transmissions avial. The reason being that people always overestimate their skills and they end up slowing everyone down

The trails are no joke but the guides are good and the Bronco proves it’s up to the task as you will be.

If you have a second person, they can and should drive too. My wife did great and really enjoyed participating rather than spectating.

They provided plenty of water and lunch was good, deli meat sandwiches and sides

They did not cook out for us but bought us dinner at the resort restaurant, which was a pleasant surprise.

it’s a full day and a ton of fun so get some rest the night before and go with the flow. Ask questions, but don’t be a negative Nancy b/c you can’t take the top down or didn’t get the 2-door or others aren’t as skilled as you. The guides were excellent so relax and enjoy.

It’s not my vehicle so let er rip! There’s nothing better than taking someone else’s car off road. Same goes for rental cars. I got a Mustang GT from Budget couple years ago with 7 miles on it. Did a huge Smokey burnout leaving the gates of Budget. Should have seen the face of the lady I work with. I told her they should not have given it to me. 😂

Lots of great information about Vegas roadeo. My advice, like others, get the first car in the group and with the instructor. The guys are great and there to have as much fun as you. So let’er rip. Not sure if Diego is still there. He was a blast to have in the car and likes to go fast. He’s a trophy truck instructor at one of the Vegas driving tracks. Even if he’s not there, I’m sure there are similar guys from the same sort of background.
The other benefit to being first, you don’t spend the day in a cloud of dust. Clear roads ahead for better visibility and faster speeds.
Enjoy your time. It’s fun. Exceeded my expectations.

Just in case anyone thinks ”letting her rip“ during their Off-rodeo is a good idea let me add that, after our trail guide complimented our group at the end of the day, we asked our guide if he’d ever had anyone that caused him heartburn thinking that it might have been a newbie. Instead, he said he had one guy who decided to do what he wanted, drove recklessly, and continued to ignore the guides warnings. It came to a head where the guide had to pull the attendee to the side and tell him that if he did it again he’d not be driving anymore that day. So, be warned, if you choose to “that guy” the guides can and will end your Off rodeo early if needed.

There is some good info in here. I am going to Vegas on Nov. 11 (veterans day). Driving up from SoCal with a buddy, we are staying on Fremont Street downtown Vegas.

Debating what car to drive. I don't really want to put the miles on the bronco. My Cruze gets way better gas mileage than the bronco or my friends F150. I guess if a rental car/uber makes the drive on the dirt road than my car shouldn't have a problem.
I would likely suggest a rental or your Cruze. The Vegas off rodeo is about 20 minutes out of city limits and in the hills. I drove my Challenger on the dirt access road. Not ideal, but it was fine.

Well that guy was not me. But I’d rather hit it hard and get scolded then drive with regret. I had my 3 adult kids with me at MOAB and it was all our first time. Simply amazing and something we will all remember for life!

I drove from So OC in my Mazda3 and it made it up the dirt road no problem, but way better MPG on the hwy, 38 mpg. It would have cost twice as much in your Bronco or the F150. And I imagine your Cruze cruses along at 85 more comfortably than your Bronco. The Bronco can, but the Cruze will, and you know how they drive on the 15, 85 mph will be the norm, with many still going faster.

We went to Las Vegas for our Offroadeo. It was an amazing experience!

We stayed at Red Rock, not because it was the preferred Hotel but because we had a hook up we could not pass up. We stayed there 5 nights and it was amazing! No perks added for being part of the offroadeo, no shuttle was provided or anything in connection with Ford. But the hotel was amazing and very relaxing.

Our day at Bronco Offroadeo was so much fun. A Yeti was provided at sign up, we got to grab a handful of snacks, fill up our Yeti with water as margaritas was not an option and headed off to the trail. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

The first part of the day was all intros of ourselves then a walkaround of the Bronco. Then we headed off to perform several different tasks that would demonstrate features of the Bronco and how it operated then we headed back for lunch.

Lunch was catered and it was very good.

2nd part of the day we started the real wheeling going through obstacles and trails all afternoon. Quick break when we reached the top of the mountain. Then headed back down through more obstacles. At the end of the trail, our instructor took us through the Fun Haver trail and boy was it a blast!!

Dinner was provided and we ate until we could eat no more. After, we were given time to explore the grounds, shop for Bronco merch, relax and kick back. No camp fire.

Be aware, no shuttle back to civilization.
