Hoping there is someone who can provide me with some insight on my tire tread wear issues. I am upgrading to new tires but need some insight on my old ones so i don't end up in the same place with the new tires.

My original Goodyear 35" tires that came on my 2021 Badlands have worn unevenly and I am looking for some answers as to why. As you can see in the photo the wear is heavy on one side, that side being the inside of the tread on my front driver's side tire. The passenger side has the same issues, but just not as bad. I rotated them with my oil changes, and I know the original tires are on the soft side, but I am trying to understand if some of the upgrades I did caused this uneven wear.

I've had my Bronco since Nov 2021 the upgrades that I think may contribute to this are (1) a Zone 3" lift, done in 2021, and then in the beginning of 2023 I added a winch onto the front bumper. My initial thought was that the weight of the winch was pulling the front end down just enough to give the wheels a negative camber.

Going into my next set of tires, which will be 37" KM3's I want to be sure I am not recreating the same issue. Appreciate any insight!

@kodiakisland Supposedly done when the lift was put on, but there is always a chance it wasn't done or wasn't done well...

Definitely an alignment issue. Im guessing they didnt do it right. Get that done when you get the new tires. The winch wont have much effect but theres always the chance.

I agree with alignment. That tire was leaning in towards center of hood more than normal. If it was just air pressure both inside and out would be worn.

Driver side worse than passenger because your alignment even from factory was empty vehicle and now you drive around with whatever your weight is on only one side. If while you sit in vehicle someone were to measure bumper height or floorboard height you might see a difference.

BTW due to geometry as vehicles are lifted tops of tires lean in
If the lift is too severe it can be beyond what can be adjusted

Oh yes for sure, this is almost certainly related to suspension modifications. My tires have 8500 miles, not a lot but so far my treadwear is even.

Looks like toe wear to me. Experienced a lot of that with a few of my japanese tuner cars back in the day.

My goodness that is bad. Chances are the shop "forgot" to align or simply did the worst job ever. I'd go to a different shop for your next alignment.

A lift changes both camber and toe. You just need a routine alignment that obviously has not been done.
