Top speed 107mph?

I was jamming on the turnpike over the weekend and my 2 door 2.7 wouldn’t go over 107 mph. I don’t need to go any faster. I was just wondering if anyone else got it over that?

Early reviews were estimating a 130MPH top speed, which sounds high. My old Defender 90 probably couldn't reach 100 going down hill. I think 100 is enough me, assuming it can hold that speed uphill.

Mine is governed at 101 or 102. Plenty of power to go beyond that, but really wouldn't want to drive it any faster.

That's correct, depending on your setup, it is governed to a limit. From testing it seems the sasquatch is limited to 101/102 and the 33's are limited to 106/108ish.


Working as designed. Not a limit of power, it is a safety thing. The tires are not rated for excessive speeds and obviously done to keep a 35 inch tire from blowing at a ridiculous speed.

Sometimes I think learning tire load limits and speed ratings should be part of getting your drivers license....

I have heard that in Europe, you cannot buy tires for your car that are not rated for the speed the car is capable of doing..

Can confirm 4 door basequatch hits the governor at 101.
