Ford doesn't sell a brake controller option for the Bronco, so it would be a custom job.
They sell one as an add on but not factory installed option.

Trailer hitch assembly, Wiring harness 4-pin, and a hitch extension I paid $494.80

So I just talked to dealer and told them to go on the Ford Accessories web page and it shows $235.40 for install. That brings my total to $730.20. 4 pin install. Id say factory install is a 4 & 7 pin for $595 is a deal and I installed hitch assembly.

I’ll be adding an additional aftermarket trans cooler since majority of my towing will be via the Ike Gauntlet and mountain passes of 10k+ elevation.

I think some dealers are not aware of this online install pricing.

I have never heard of a manual transmission having a trans cooler because manual gear oil is silly thick to begin with.
Most manual transmissions have not used thick gear oil in 30 plus years. They use either ATF or engine oil for lubrication.

I have never seen an automatic transmission without a cooler. At least they would have a version in the radiator, and many then have an external. But if you have a towing package, they usually bump up to a larger cooler, but maybe not on the Bronco as the tow rating is pretty low.

Ford Rep told me that the pricing is only good if purchased online and that each dealer can set their pricing.

I paid just for the wiring install and the purchase was $315.00 plus tax
This is the brake controller not the 4 pin. Also, the install price is my dealer.

I don't recall which person posted the information - possibly @flip - but the 10R60 has its own external cooler. Keep in mind that the Explorer with its higher GCWR and tow cap than the Bronco and same 10R60 doesn't have an auxiliary cooler with the tow package either.

So then no difference to order it factory or add it after. Except you can only get 4 pin through Ford after .

Depending on your projected use that could be a significant difference! Also you don't have to rip into your bread new vehicle and fight its wiring.

I installed the factory hitch and had them install wiring. With my ford points my total for install wiring harness only was $44.00. Plus I have the manual transmission.

That sounds like a great use of the points! I'm unclear.on the importance of the elite tranny though.

I'm glad I didn't cave in and drop the tow package. Got the email today that my 4dr BL, 2.7, LUX, soft top w/ tow package was scheduled.

But the question will be, can I obtain just the harness for the redarc tow pro brake controller since I already have the redarc to swap over from our grand Cherokee.
