I just sold my 2013 SHO to Carnava earlier this week.

When I checked back in November, they offered $9K at the time.

I got a email from them a few weeks ago saying they updated their offer. I finally checked it the end of last week.

I sold it for $11.4K, which was fine with me with a car I barely drove the past 16 months or so due to working from home and I don't have to worry about the water pump or something else puking on me while my Bronco comes in. I'm down to one car though (my wifes) so that kinda sucks, but hopefully my Bronco is built next week and I get it by the end of the month.

its been almost 2 months without my F150 and have managed so far so it was a good idea. The truck market is still out there, but as soon as the chip issue is resolved that will be it. Also we are starting to get closer to 2022 builds and customers will start to wait.

Sold mine as well. Issue is that unlike prior experience when I'd rent a car on a monthly basis for a low rate, the rental rates have exploded as well. Managing with 1 car for now, and wife yelling at me when I take hers.

Since we are down to one car, I call my wife the Wuber...its a nickname she came up with when I broke my ankle a few summers ago and was driving me everywhere til I was able to drive again.

She works a couple hours during the day and I'm working from home til October (from the latest I heard), so its not too big of an issue yet, unless I need to go into work to get stuff done in the lab.

I bought my wife a new car so dodged that dilemma.

You're not kidding.

Bought my jeep for 28K about two years ago. Just looked it up and their going for $36K+/- bone stock!

I suppose you could ride this wave as it's probably not stopping very soon but I'm not willing to gamble on it being this high at trade in (nor do I trust the dealer not to bend me over a barrel on trade-in since the bronco is already on order and I don't have many choices).

Time to clean it up and slap a for sale sign on it. Come on free market...🎲🎲

Yeah, good news is I always work from home. My neighbors are also getting tired of picking me up for golf too though. 1st world problems I know.

My 2012 WRX worth $9400 in March, per the Carvana offer. It went up to $13k in May, and I just sold it to Carvana for $15k. I was going to wait to sell it closer to my July production date, but this was too good to pass up. I have another car I can drive, so it worked for me.

Used car prices are crazy now. Being able to sell my car high, and buy the Bronco at the 2020 price is a good deal for sure.

A few months ago a Chrysler dealer offered me $8000 for my 2008 Jeep Wrangler as a trade in on a Gladiator. I didn't take the trade in or buy the Gladiator. Last week I sold the Jeep for $15,500 privately and am waiting and waiting for my Bronco. I can't imagine this used car market can stay this high for too long.

Well, I sold my Ram 2500. Due to now having a lot less debt from no longer having a monthly car payment, lower debt to income ratio, and probably a higher credit score I am going to try to refinance my house during this period before I get my Bronco.

my Jeep value tumbled by $3K when I checked again yesterday. Crash coming soon.

I think you’re right which is why I decided to sell now instead of waiting any longer. Luckily, the sale value didn’t drop any before I did the transaction. Got a nice paycheck also due to owing less on the vehicle than what they paid for it.
