Thanks for posting. Please do not take this the wrong way but I have a question.

Why is there no coverage on the braces I have pointed out below???

These are just braces NOT control arms. They do not move. and the rocket scientist at Ford has decided to make them with the sharp edges pointed downward. Same engineer who made the front lower coilover bolts pointing downward without a doubt. I know easier to assemble, whatever.

More to my point. I have seen a video of someone who has taken their Bronc onto the rocks and has already noted about this, in fact as he got hung up on them. I have noticed other skids on the market have these covered up. Just curious why they are not covered on yours.

That small little skid is ok, to protect the plastic trans pan, but I think it should spread frame rail to frame rail here to keep a rock from hanging up the Bronc.😁 As I said earlier, don't take offense just curious as to the reason why yours is the way it is.

I think I’m going to get just the transfer case plate, if only to deter catalytic converter thieves. Looks like it covers it up well enough where it’d be too much of a hassle for some guy and his sawzall.

Ah, the perks of living in a big city. 😑

No protection for the trailing arm mounts? Damn. That’s the most exposed part of the entire Bronco underside. Drags on everything.

Update: So, ASFIR, Shalom! I originally asked, "Will your front skid plate be a direct bolt-on to replace the plastic skid plate on my stock OBX, with the stock plastic bumper remaining in place? I didnt buy the Ford skid plate because they say it needs the Metal bumper."

I see that question has been answered "yes", and also the web photos show the Asfir plate installed on a vehicle with the stock plastic bumper. I started to order, and found that shipping is $101, which reflects a current 50% discount on shipping.

Shalom :)
Our skid is a DIRECT bolt-on NO drilling required. It'll replace the stock plastic cover with the front OEM plastic bumper intact and in place.

As for shipping price - that is correct. The original price is 202$ and we give a 50% discount for all orders, no mini. required thus the price is 101$ like you mentioned.

Don't forget to use bro_5 for extra 5% off product's price :)

Thank you. But you got it backwards... BB is based on Base, OBX is based on BB. So therefor OBX is based on Base Model! ;) I mean seriously... Who wants body color fender flares? 😂

No offense taken :) We're always happy to hear user's feedbacks and learn from that.

In that specific case, we wanted to avoid extensive coverage that increases the risk of heating. We decided to cover the Gearbox, which is the most impo. component there.

We actually looked into that, and other than the extansive coverage and risk of heating, covering that area will hang too low and cause for a clearance loss.

Hope that answers your question.
Cheers,

Perfect coverage. I've been hoping for a skid for transmission, since the pan is plastic and transfer case coverage looks just right.

I would prefer the engine/diff to be standalone from the front, but Ok.

I see a void near the oil drain plug. Can oil be drained without removing the plate?

And, why do all plates (factory and aftermarket I've seen) have a void at front diff? The lowest important component is unprotected.

Also, website has:
Front Bronco Tow Ring | Right Rear

So is it front or right rear? And the photos show two different rings. The uninstalled is squarish and flat, the installed is roundish and downturned, which is it? Installed is right rear so that may answer first question.
Thank you for your feedback! @buzpro and @lakesinai listen up too ;)
I'll take your questions one-by-one :)

Oil drain - YES. Oil can be drained without removing the plate. The oval hole (to the right) was designed for that purpose exactly. Note its shape too - it is oval so the oil won't spill all over.

Void at front diff - Our Front skid plate have two holes in it. The oval one is for the oil drain and the other one, is for the front diff that sits a little lower. If we wouldn't have created that hole the skid would be too close to the diff and in risk of touching it. In any case, the diff doesn't hang out and/or lower than the plate so it's still protected.

Rear tow ring -REAR. I'm sorry, there was a typo, now corrected. The product is the "squarish" flat one. The round one was a prototype model we designed and decided not to go further with.

If there are any more questions, feedbacks, thoughts - feel free to share it here or at [email protected] and we'll do our best to answer.

Cheers,
