I am trying to find a cargo shelf for a 4 door/ hard top that mounts above the rear window.

I’m looking for a shelf that does not obstruct the rearview mirror sight out the rear window. Maybe this doesn’t exist.

I’ve seen the one that mounts to side molle panels (JCR Upper Shelf ) but I would prefer one that mounts to the rear pillars (similar to the American Adventure Lab mount style. ).

Let me know if this unicorn shelf exists. I feel like I’ve seen it in a YouTube video or some long lost thread.

I love mine.
Used their brackets and made my own shelf, but theirs is lighter and probably better in the long run.
All of my recovery gear, tire deflators, and air hoses are up there. Out of the way, no need to pack around them or hunt for them, and always with me.
At first I didn't like the idea of not being able to take the ST all the way back but honestly just opening up to position 1 is just fine. Or off completely for those without threat of rain 2-3 times/week.

My desire is to look in the rearview mirror and be able to see out the rear window. No cameras or tech involved.

im thinking keeping some recovery equipment on board all the time is good practice. Better than having all that equipment rolling around in the cargo space.

Learn to use your side mirrors.

Seriously, not a dig or any of that nonsense. I've had my rear window blocked for decades. Using your side mirrors and now having a rear view camera is more than sufficient.

On that note, Suma mirrors make a HUGE difference in view and reducing blind spots. I'd recommend them to every Bronco owner.

Damn... Is that 4 door only??
Unfortunately, there's not enough room up there for a 2 door version, and the current brackets take advantage of the 4 existing nutserts in the roll bar of the 4 doors. 2 door Broncos only have 2 nutserts and the roll bars are much more vertical.

Can I see how your shelf came out? I just realized the shelf requires purchasing the bracket too first and combined it’s just too expensive for me :(

I had the steel already and time/knowhow/welding tools.
If this were contracted out to a weld shop it more than likely would have been more than theirs.
3/16 steel for this was way overkill and not light.
