I can't imagine that would bother me at all. If it does, some rubber plugs in the holes would make them disappear.
I agree. $5 for 25 at Amazon.

One reason I'm going with the factory rails isn't performance, it's to cover up that weld. Asthetically the Bronco looks much much better with the rails.

Plus the rails will also offer some protection as well from the very go

I saw this picture of the side steps in another thread. I don't think the metal lip with holes above the steps is a good look. Will the rock rails hide it? If so I'll consider changing from steps to rails.

I need steps on mine vs rock rails but I hate what Ford is showing. I plan on going with N-fab or similar for some better looking steps.

I'm with you on this. I want steps, but BL seems to have rails only and the steps are meh. Aftermarket should have some nice options shortly after release.

The rock rails don’t really cover the pinch seam either but maybe a bit more than the steps do. Hopefully a “preproduction” issue.

I'm hoping Rock Slide engineering makes some power step sliders. My wife is short and BL doesn't have steps.
same. 5-3” wife and getting the BL.

I went to a jeep dealer yesterday to measure and get real world feel for the step in height of the Sahara and rubicon then did some digging around here. Looks like BL step in height is about 21” rough opening but maybe closer to 22” to finished step in. So about 2” less than a Rubicon

My wife wasn’t at the dealership. But after measuring our outback, I found a 7” box and put it on the seat and asked my wife to try to clear it. She was like you have to be Fing kidding me lol. Then I spun the whole handle on the side dash story. Haha.

As far as looks the rock rails look better. But I’m going to daily my WT do going steps so the wife and kids can get it. I’m 6’3 so I’m sure I won’t use the step but the fam will need it.
I have steps on all my lifted stuff

A good set of running boards will hid them as well, RealTrucks.com has a good selection for you to look at if you're looking for ones that cover that up. I ran ICI Magnums on my F350 and they cover the holes up.
