The rear window is another common source of noise and rattles. Try riding around with the rear glass open to see if the noise goes away. If so, put some Krytox grease or silicone spray on all of the rear seals between the glass and door and that should fix it.

The bumpstop solution pretty much for rid of it all for me... The tailgate support finished the job. No more rattles or pinging. I have the Hammerbuilt one, but I'm sure they all pretty much work. Just my experience!
Yep, I installed the hammerbuilt tailgate support and all of the weird noises went away. Love it.

I bought felt pad 6"x6" squares that have sticky on the back at the hardware store. Trimmed down rows to be about 1/2inch each. I ran them along the back lip of the tailgate and the two plastic bumpers on the tail gate. No noise what so ever now. Whats going on is the back glass rubber is rubbing the tailgate surface which sounds like a muffled 1980's air popcorn popper every time the top flexes with the tailgate .. lol

What’s happing is the rubber around the back glass is rubbing on the tailgate causing all kinds of noise. This felt stops all that !

I've tried it all too. nothing has worked. dealer looked at it and replaced a trim piece and said that was it, but it wasn't, of course
