I like that they cover the pinch welds but for the price you can get better aftermarket ones. Shrockworks and Rocky Road have some great sliders that you can actually use as a step too and cost about the same as the Ford ones. Plus they hold the whole weight of the vehicle which is not always necessary but a bonus.Rock Rails or BRONCO floor liners and a color keyed center grab handle with my Ford Bucks.
I don't really understand the hate on the factory rails. I off road a lot some Moab some mildly Rubicon like and I've never bounced a rocker off a rock hard enough to do damage. The frame rails, fuel tank et al hang much lower than the rockers. I like the look of the factory rails just because it covers the pinch weld.
FYI majority of folks like having both.I'm going to get the rubber floor liners from @NayNay . With the veteran discount, it will be cheaper than rolling the liners into my note. Also, and this is pertinent to those trims with carpet, I believe I read that when one orders the rubber floor liners from the factory, then the stock carpet floor mats are nixed. By ordering after delivery, then I'll have the carpet floor mats along with the rubber liners.
I was looking at Tacoma’s also. You can get a manual transmission trd off road for around same price a manual black diamond with the mid package would be if it existed. The Tacoma is a lot less then a manual badlands with the mid package will be.Use it for a down payment on a Tacoma.
BiminiAre you going to get an accessory? Tailgate table? Roof rack? Compressor? Put it towards something more expensive? Save it for the slide-out tailgate?
Or are you going to be responsible and put it towards maintenance? ?
I don't know where I read it. But I'm pretty sure that when the liners are ordered at the factory, the standard carpet mats are replaced with the liners and not included. The only sure way is to take delivery of the standard carpet mats and order the liners later. I know I will want both sets depending on my use case any given day. Day-to-Day with both my feet and the Bronco's on pavement, the carpet will be used.FYI majority of folks like having both.
