If we are going flown, I was in the nav seat of a 1962 KC-135 going 0.85 mach at 43,100 over the Grand Canyon in 2007.Driven, not flown!

Just ground! I've done mach 2 in an Air France and BA Concorde, but yes just ground speed civi style! If we are going flown, I was in the nav seat of a 1962 KC-135 going 0.85 mach at 43,100 over the Grand Canyon in 2007.
Iāll apologize for being That Guy, but Iām saying sorry with a smile.Driven, not flown!

Lets do top speed while hauling a load. I hit 90+ in a late 2000s F550 crew cab flatbed, was towing a "lil"(non 5th wheel) trailer with a scissor lift on it. Just trying to get to a job site.I feel like I should just walk away from this thread before I embarrass myselfā¦ butā¦ ehā¦ itās just the internet, so whatever.
My highest was a 1989 Broncoā¦ was towing a trailer behind me and letās just say the trailer was doing a real good job pushing me down the hill and my brakes were nice and toasty. No idea exactly how fast I was going because the speedometer only went up to 80 mph, but based on the Broncoās death wobble I was somewhere in the high 90mph, low 100mph range.
Outside of that one event in the Bronco I donāt think Iāve driven faster than 85-86 mph. Iām boring I guess.
I felt pretty good passing Subaru's and Escape's pulling my boat up I-81 with my F150, 85 to 90 at times. I've barely scraped 100 mph on the ground, but the biggest pucker has been on the water. 65 on a jet ski and 85 in a 32ft Scarab, in the dark and dirty Chesapeake Bay. There's a lot of stuff floating out there that you can't see until you're on top of ifLets do top speed while hauling a load.
