What I find really crazy is that I built in the B&P a Base Sasquatch and a BB with the exact same options (I just wanted the ability to choose the Area 51 color) and the price was about $4,000 more - Just to get a different color! I'm not willing to pay $4,000 for a color. Just ordered a Base Sasquatch in Rapid Red and "saved" $4,000.

In fairness, most car models have steps up in trim levels and it's fairly easy to decide which one you want. The Bronco has weird steps sideways, so when you go up, you sometimes lose the stuff you wanted on a lower model.

Exactly. One example : bb and OBX both have signature lights. BD doesn't, even tho those trims bracket BD. Hhh?

Yep. In this example, your only get hash browns with pancakes or two eggs. Toast only comes with omelets. Syrup is an upgrade, and gravy is late available. Ham with three eggs, bacon with one. No meat with two.

It doesn’t help that they were so widely advertised before order banks opened.

two of seven, they aren’t available at all, and are an $800 option? Doesn’t sound very “signature” of the Bronco to me...

but fuck it, even BMW doesn’t have halos anymore and tons of Jeep guys have ruined it by putting green or purple halos on JKs..... or so I tell myself since I can’t get sig lights....

I know this is a first-world problem. I just feel if I am gonna spend 50k on a new Bronco, I think I should be able to get the interior I want, the rims and wheels I want, etc. I haven't bought a new car in well over 20 years, so maybe this is just how things are now, and it's not just a shady / fuck-up with Ford, but it just annoys me. I like the Signature LEDs, so sue me. I know it's not gonna vastly improve my drive or experience. I just think it's cool.

In a capitalist economy, if a company ever makes consumers pay only for exactly what they need and no more, they have failed and will soon be surpassed by a competitor that succeeds at 'up-selling'.

My advice; just learn to love/use the crap you think you don't need.

There are automakers that let you customize to ANY degree you want; sabretooth tiger leather seats, remove all the sound insulation, chrome-plated body, straps instead of door handles to save 20 grams, etc. But they all cost several times the price of a Bronco.
