Rear driver window is not dropping when handle is pulled.

Scheduled a service appointment for warranty work. This is a first for me after owning Hondas for 20 years and 300k miles I’ve never had to repair anything. I’ve also not had as much fun with a vehicle as this one so I’m not upset about it as long as it doesn’t become a pattern.

I think the frameless doors were a terrible design decision. The best designs are the simplest ones. This one is so obvious though. Having a window drop and then raise every time you open the door is doomed to fail.

Check this link out… you might be able to get it going without taking it to the dealer.

Let us know if that solves the problem, so anyone else who encounters this know what to do.

Ford has been building vehicles for over 110 years and still has numerous problems designing, launching and manufacturing vehicles that last. So does every other brand, unfortunately.

My ten year old Mustang has frameless windows that still work flawlessly. The design seems fine.

It’s not just that it failed on me. They feel like crap when you open them. The window shakes every time. Just not a fan.

Good thing this has been brought up. I had issues Friday morning where the door wasn’t closing due to the window not rolling down enough ( didn’t think much about it, rolled window down, closed door and rolled window back up). Later that day I came out to my window broken. Dealer tried saying it wouldn’t be warranty because it looked like someone tried breaking in. Told them I could provided camera footage of the vehicle not being touched and they agreed to submit claim as warranty instead.

Wow!! That’s what I’ve been doing since it won’t roll down on its own.

I wouldn’t follow them if you’re after reliable and simple designs. This is just unnecessary and over complicated which leads to issues.

Document. Document. Document. I used to work for the auto industry and if you don’t have a relationship with your dealer I can see how this could turn into an ugly ordeal.
